influences people to think
they should look a certain
way. Like being skinny or
looking a certain way. People
try to reach the medias idea of
how they should look, but the
way they do it can be
unhealthy.

everywhere one way or
another media has influenced
you.

Example: Adolescent tries to fit in and follow the
media by losing weight.
• Stat: In a survey of girls 9 and 10 years old, 40%
have tried to lose weight, according to an
ongoing study funded by the National
Heart, Lung and Blood Institute.
