2. HUMILITY
From that time, on Jesus began to preach,
“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”

3. MEEKNESS
“Come, follow me,”
Jesus said,
“And I will make you fishers of men.”

4. JOYFULNESS
“Blessed are you when people
insult you, persecute you
and falsely say all kinds of evil
against you because of me.
Rejoice and be glad,
because great is your reward in heaven,
for in the same
way they persecuted the prophets
who were before you.”

5. Generosity
“In the same way,
let your light shine
before men,
that they may see your good deeds
and praise your Father in Heaven.”

6. Love
“Do not think I have come to abolish the Law or
the Prophets; I have not come to abolish
them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth,
until heaven and earth disappear, not the
smallest letter, not the least stroke of pen,
will by any means disappear from the Law
until everything is accomplished.”

7. Responsibility
“leave your gift there in front of the
altar. First go and be reconciled to your
brother; then come and offer your gift.”

8. Self Control
“If your right eye causes you to sin, guoge it
out and throw it away. It is better for you to
lose one part of your body than your whole
bidy to be thrown into hell. And if your right
hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it
away. It is better for you to lose one part of
your body than your whole body to go into
hell.”

9. TRUTHFULNESS
“Simply let your „Yes‟ be „Yes‟ and your „No‟
„No‟ anything beyond this comes from evil.”
Matthew 5:37

10. DEFERENCE
“But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If
someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn
to him the other also. And if someone wants
to sue you and take your tunic, let him have
your cloak as well. If someone forces you to
go with him two miles. Give to the one who
asks you, and do not turn away from the one
who wants to borrow from you.”

11. CREATIVITY
But I tell you: Love your enemies
and pray for those who persecute you.

12. SINCERITY
“ If you love those who love you, what reward will you
get? Are not even the tax collector doing that? And if
you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more
than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect,
therefore as your Heavenly Father is perfect.”

13. FAITH
“Be careful not to do your „acts of righteousness‟ before men, to
be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your
Father in heaven.” So when you give to the needy, do not
announce it with trumpets as the hypocrites do in the
synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you
the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when
you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your
right hand is doing. So that your giving may be in secret. Then
your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

14. FAITH
“And when you pray, do not be like hypocrites,
for they love to pray standing in the synagogues
and on the street corners to be seen by men. I
tell you the truth , they have received their
reward in full. But when you pray, go into your
room, close the door and pray to your Father,
who is unseen. Then your Father who sees what
is done in secret, will reward you. And when you
pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for
they think they will be heard because of their
many words. Do not be like them, for your Father
knows what you need before you ask him.”

15. THRIFTINESS
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on
earth, where moth and rust destroy, and
where thieves break in and steal. But store up
for yourselves treasures in heaven, where
moth and rust do not destroy, and where
thieves do not break in and steal. For where
your treasure is, there your heart will be
also.”

“But seek first the kingdom of God and his
righteousness, and all these things will be

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For
in the same way you judge others, you will be

“Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not
throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may
trample them under their feet, and then turn
and tear you to pieces.”

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you
will find; knock and the door will be opened
to you. For everyone who asks receives, he
who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the

“So in everything, do to others what you would
have them do to you, for this sums up the Law
and the Prophets.”

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is
the gate and broad is the road that leads to
destruction, and many enter through it. But
small is the gate and narrow the road that
leads to life, and only few find it.”

“Watch out for false prophets, they come to
you in sheep‟s clothing, but inwardly they are
ferocious wolves.”

23. COMPASSION
“Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is
plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the
Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out
workers into his harvest field.”

24. WISDOM
“I am sending you out like a sheep among
wolves. Therefore be as shrewed as snakes
and innocent as doves.”

25. BOLDNESS
“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body
not but can not kill the soul. Rather, be afraid
of the One who can destroy both soul and
body in hell.”

“Come to me, all you who are weary and
burdened, and I will give you rest.”

27. OBEDIENCE
“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you
will find rests for your souls.”

28. HONOR
“For God said, „Honor your father and mother‟
and Anyone who curses his father or mother
must be put to death.”

29. HONOR
“Be careful, Jesus said to them “ Be on guard
against the yeast of the Pharisees and
Sadducees”

30. DETERMINATION
“Then he said to them all: “If anyone would
come after me, he must deny himself and
take up his cross daily and follow me.”

“See that you do not look down on one of
these little ones. For I tell you that their

“If your brother sins against you, go and
show him his fault, just between the two of

when he sins against me? Up to seven times?

what was done to the fig tree, but also you
can say to this mountain, “Go, throw yourself
into the sea,‟ it will be done. If you believe,
you will receive whatever you ask for in
prayer.”

39. HOSPITALITY
Then Jesus said to the host, “ When you give a
luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends,
your brothers, or relatives, or your rich
neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back so
you will be repaid, But when you give a banquet,
invite the poor, the crippled, the lame , the blind
and you will blessed. Although they can not
repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection
of the righteous.”

40. CAREFULNESS
“Show me the coin for paying the tax,” They
brought him denarius, and he asked them,
whose portrait is this? And whose inscription?
Ceasar‟s they replied. Then he said to them,
“Give to Ceasar what is Ceasar‟s and to God
what is God‟s”

41. ENTHUSIASM
Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all
your heart and with all your soul and with all
your mind.”

“And the second is like it: „Love your neighbor

“Therefore keep watch, because you do know

“I am going to send you what my Father has
promised; but stay in the city until you have
been clothed with power from on high.”

51. FLEXIBILITY
“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All
authority in heaven and on earth has been
given to me. Therefore go and make disciples
of all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I
have commanded you. And surely I am with
you always, to the very end of the age.”
