Salinity levels are monitored regularly in several polders in the Ganges River basin. Salinity is measured twice daily in peripheral rivers during high and low tides, and twice weekly in internal canals. Data on salinity readings over time are presented for three polders, with values generally ranging between 0-3 parts per thousand. Regular salinity monitoring provides information on saltwater intrusion in the polders.
