Interconnecting Europe’s NRENs over a Tbit highly- resilient pan-European backbone. NRENs serve 50 million users at 10,000 institutions across Europe. We liaise with the local NREN to agree on the solution • Connection to NREN/direct peering/IX 3. The cloud provider is informed of the decision and, either: • Is handed over to the NREN – the liaison with the NREN starts • Keeps liaising with GÉANT 4. The physical connection is done 5.
