2. IDEA 1
• One idea for a set of recipe cards could be recipe for Christmas. Since most of the food
that is made at Christmas isn’t aimed at vegetarians, we could made a set of cards that
are aimed at giving them, or the people that are cooking for them, ideas on what to
make. The colour scheme for this would be quite traditional; for example reds and
greens. The font for these cards would also relate to the theme, so it would be bold and
fancy. The theme and layout for this would be creative, there will be bright colours for
both the images and the background, which will match the Christmas theme. The
audience for these cards would be people who are vegetarian who need ideas on what
to make, and also people who are catering for vegetarians at Christmas, since they
might not know what to make.

• Another idea could be that the recipe cards only focus on desserts. The first card could
be of a vegetarian cheesecake and the next could be of a chocolate cake. These
recipes would be classed as unhealthy and they would need to be laminated because
they would most likely be used the most. The theme could be quite creative, and the
photographs will take up the whole front side. These cards would be for people that have
been vegetarians for years and also for people that are just starting to become
vegetarian. The recipes would be quite easy to make so the card themselves would be
quite simple. We will take the photographs and we will try to get them to look
professional.

6. IDEA 3
• Another idea could be that the cards are promoting healthy eating. The
recipes will include breakfasts, lunches and dinners and the ingredients will be
healthy. These cards will be for both existing vegetarians and new
vegetarians. The cards could be embossed, and the colour scheme will be
earthy, for example greens and browns. The font will be serif and the images
will be simple but they will look professional and fancy. For this it might be
useful to use stock photographs. These cards could have a summer colour
scheme, for example there would be a mix of oranges and yellows used, and
the photographs would have been taken in the sun. this is mainly because
people seem to eat healthier in the sun but they can be used year round as a
motivation to eat healthy.

• Another idea could be that the cards could be made for children. The colour scheme
would be quite bold, primary colours would be used and there will be a simple font used.
Headings will also be used to make it clearer which stage that the children are at. These
cards could be die cut and laminated so the children and their parents can use it again,
and this way the design won’t be plain. The photographs that are used in these cards
would be taken from stock and they would be presented in a creative way.

• One idea could be that the recipe cards are made for people who are looking for
traditional Italian food, but for vegetarians. For example one card could be a recipe for
Lasagne, and one could be a recipe card for Spaghetti bolognaise. The colour scheme
for this would be the colours of the Italian flag. The font would be quite fancy and the
cards will be laminated so that they could be used again.
