THEATER PLAYHOUSE
The nationally-acclaimed, Tony Award-winning La Jolla Playhouse is known for its
tradition of creating the most exciting and adventurous new work in regional
theatre. The Playhouse was founded in 1947 and is considered one of the most
well-respected not-for-profit theatres in the country. Numerous Playhouse
productions have moved to Broadway, including the currently running hit, Jersey
Boys, as well as Memphis, Big River, How to Succeed in Business Without Really
Trying, A Walk in the Woods, Billy Crystal’s 700 Sundays, the Pulitzer Prize-
winning I Am My Own Wife, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Bonnie & Clyde, Peter and
the Starcatcher and Chaplin: The Musical. Located on the UC San Diego campus, La
Jolla Playhouse is made up of three primary performance spaces: the Mandell Weiss
Theatre, the Mandell Weiss Forum Theatre and the Joan and Irwin Jacobs Center for
La Jolla Playhouse, a state-of-the-art theatre complex which features the Sheila and
Hughes Potiker Theatre.
To assist the world acclaimed communications department in the daily tasks of
marketing and audience development. Communications interns are intimately
involved in the inclusive workings of a world-renowned theatre department. A
marketing internship involves management, development and distribution of
promotion materials, press kits and press releases, compiling program material,
interviews, talking to vital press peoples, errands, maintenance of press archives
and clippings, attending department meetings, representing and promoting La Jolla
Playhouse productions at community events in the San Diego area and assisting the
artistic department in various rehearsal and artistic related tasks. Abby served as
the youngest intern chosen for the program who worked on DISNEY’s™ FREAKY
FRIDAY and Broadway-bound, Jimmy Buffet’s ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE.

TRITON GAMING COMMUNITY MANAGER 2016-2018
Triton Gaming is the one stop for all things digital media, esports, entertainment
and gaming at University of California San Diego. Hosting and creating events for
gamers throughout the Southern California region, it is one of the largest gaming
collegiate organizations in the country and continuing to grow.
Abby is an Officer and executive board member as Community Manager dealing
with the planning and executing for large scale gaming and esports events in San
Diego, California. She helps with hosting panels marketing, social media,
photography and community relations. She also speaks on the weekly Triton
Gaming podcast on Soundcloud and is also a featured Partner on the Triton Gaming
Twitch™ channel where she steams.

A GameStop game advisor provides exceptional and efficient customer services to
patrons throughout the store. Customers look to GameStop game advisors for
information on the electronic gaming industry, including popular titles and
consoles. A game advisor needs to possess a passion for video games from every
genre. Other abilities required of a potential game advisor include the ability to
work in a fast-paced environment, patience with every type of customer, and
operating a point of sale system.

Theatre Arts Program – a pre-professional audition honors program forartistically
talented Greenville County students in advanced comprehensive theatre arts. Was
one of only two Freshman in the county to be accepted into the Theatre Program in
2011.

4. UCLA Television Film & Theatre/US Performing Arts – Sitcom Acting - In
Collaboration with the Sitcom Writing/Producing Workshop and under the
guidance of a seasoned director (In 2013 it was two time Emmy™ winning Actress
Conchata Ferrell) students are guided through a sitcom episode from table read to
taping. They learn the fundamentals of character development, physical comedy
and timing as well as how to rework a scene and add new dialogue on the fly.
Production is done in one of the Melnitz Hall TV studios at the School of Theater,
Film and Television.
American Academy of Dramatic Arts (A.A.D.A) – Conservatory for Young Actors -
The Academy's Conservatory for Young Actors (ACYA) is a four-week summer
intensive for students ages 12-16. The program is taught by the same professional
and encouraging instructors who oversee The Academy's prestigious two-year Full-
Time Conservatory Program. ACYA's mission is to provide a solid foundation for
young actors who desire to strengthen their skills and develop new techniques to
excel at the craft of acting. Classes included Acting for Film, Movement for the
