(WEC).
TheplantislocatedintheShuaibahIIIcomplex
andwillincreasedesalinationcapacity,currently
at150,000m3
/dayviareverseosmosis,and
850,000m3
/dayviamulti-stageflash
evaporationthusconfirmingthisasthelargest
waterdesalinationcenterintheworld.With
thisnewproject,thecomplexwillbeableto
desalinateupto400,000mdesalinateupto400,000m3
/daybymeansof
reverseosmosis,equivalenttothewater
containedinmorethan400olympicsized
swimmingpools,whichguaranteesthestable
supplyofqualitydrinkingwaterforthecitiesof
Makkah,Jeddah,TaifandAl-Baha.
