triggering a three-year war which drew in U.S.,

35. Seollal - Korean New Year
It is a holiday and celebration which marks the first day of the Korean Lunar Calendar, which
usually lasts for three days.
Traditionally, families gather from all over Korea at the house of their oldest male relative to
pay their respects to both ancestors and elders. During Seollal, Koreans usually wear hanbok
(traditional clothes), perform ancestral rites, play folk games, eat traditional foods, listen to
stories and talk well into the night.
