The main meal is usually roast turkey, ham, or other meats along with potatoes and pie. In Peru, Christmas Eve on December 24th is the major celebration called Noche Buena. Families attend church at 10pm and decorate with nativity scenes. Their main meal includes tamales, roast turkey or pig, and panettone bread. Both countries incorporate lights, gift giving, and religious traditions into their Christmas celebrations.
