Millions of people around the world have been forced to flee their homes due to war, violence, or fear for their safety. These include refugees, who cross international borders due to a well-founded fear of persecution; internally displaced people (IDPs), who flee within their own country; and stateless people, who are not considered nationals by any country. There are almost 14 million refugees globally, over 21 million IDPs, and between 11-15 million stateless people worldwide who often live in dire conditions without access to basic needs and protection.
