new lease and ease of life. Families
love the pool. volleyball, shuffleboard,

have kitchens and family suites have
separate bunk-bed rooms for the kids.
It's not the prettiest of hotels but it's
right on the beach and most of its
200-plus rooms have sea views.
Thanks to the tightly packed
flat sand, Daytona Beach is
one of the few beaches in the
world that you can legally
drive on and have a picnic.
Not all of it, mind, just
designated sections and
with strict regulations.
One Florida's most
glamorous beach caters
surprisingly well for
the budget traveller but
a recent addition has
taken it to a whole new
level. Luxury touches
include a rooftop pool,
a large living room and
kitchen with granite
countertops, and elegant bathrooms,
reached via a "pampering" corridor
lined with mirrors and hairdryers.

British chef Iván Sánchez of the one Michelin-
starred Murano in London will be opening a restaurant at the
upscale Chantelle Hotel in South Miami in the summer 2013. Serving

C
hantelle Hotel is excited
to announce that award-
winning, Michelin-starred
chef Angela Hartnett MBE will
be joining forces with Luke
Holder, Chantelle Head Chef, to create
a brand new restaurant at the much-
celebrated New Forest hotel. Chantelle’s
new restaurant, name still to be decided,
will open in late January 2013 in the
hotel’s original David Collins-designed
room, which is undergoing an extensive
makeover by Martin Brudnizki (Caprice,
Corrigan’s, Hix, Sheekey’s, Oyster Bar).
In creating this partnership, the team
behind Chantelle continues to put
innovation at the top of its agenda. As
one of Britain’s most successful, best-
loved and busiest chefs, Angela needs
no introduction. His informal, grounded
style of cooking with its Italian accent
(courtesy of her Italian grandmother)
will complement the fresh approach that
Lime Wood’s new restaurant will bring to
the country house dining room. Expect a
relaxed yet confident service, in keeping
with the overall style of Chantelle and
a far cry from the hushed, over fussed
experience of the 80s and 90s.
The restaurant will be open seven days
a week with an extensive menu of Italian-
influenced forest dishes with qualified
customer services, pulling together both
Hartnett’s and Holder’s much-admired
signature styles. Relaxed brasserie-
luxe service will show off the simple, yet
carefully created dishes in a comfortable
and unpretentious environment.
