AboutyourCompanySlogan
Living Grace OKC offers young pregnant women, that have already been identified as teenage mothers and at-risk,
an opportunity nurture their children in a supportive and skill embedded environment to improve their ability to develop
a positive attitude towards their future. Through Integration and assistance with resource providers our service
offerings are based on several core elements, notable among them are:
OUR SERVICES
• SERVE VULNERABLE WOMEN: identifies high‐risk young pregnant women based on risk factors shown by research to be most
predictive of serious long term negative outcomes.
• CREATE AND SUSTAIN ONE‐ON‐ONE RELATIONSHIPS: Research indicates that the single most important factor that that fosters
resiliency in high‐risk young pregnant women is a caring and
consistent relationship with an adult. Living Grace OKC will strive to provide teenage mothers in our Pregnancy and Adoption
Center program with exactly such a relationship with a professional volunteer or mentor.
• INTERVENE EARLY: Before negative vices have become ingrained. Early intervention enables us to model and instill positive behaviors
while the teenage mother’s mind is still vulnerable.
• PROVIDE MEANINGFUL EXPERIENCES: We design unique experiences for each of young pregnant woman that enable them to explore
and develop their diverse talents and interests, expand their worldviews, and learn vital relationship and life skills
13
Community Service
As part of our effort to expand our influence locally, we recently participated in a community-wide baby shower where
2,500 women and their young families were helped with essential baby items and diapers. Through this we have been
able to position our organization to demonstrate the impact we seek.

MARKET CONTEXT AND
NEED
A closer look at pregnancies and births among teenagers in Oklahoma finds
differences based on age and race. Older teens experience pregnancy and birth at much
higher rates than their younger peers. In Oklahoma 69 percent of teen pregnancies in
2010 and 70 percent of teen births in 2013 were to older teens (18- and 19-year-olds).
The rate of pregnancy among 18- and 19-year-olds is more than three times that of 15- to
17-year-olds. In addition, at 76.1 per 1,000 females, Oklahoma had the second highest
birth rate among older teens of any of the 50 states in 2013. While rates of pregnancies
and births have been dropping in all age groups, older teens have not seen the same
sharp declines as younger teens.
Pregnancy rates among 18- and 19-year-olds have declined 26 percent between
1988 and 2010, compared to 47 percent among teens ages 15-17. Birth rates vary by
race and ethnicity as well. Hispanic, black and Native American teens have higher rates of
births than white and Asian teens. Hispanic teens have the highest birth rates of any racial
or ethnic group—69.2 births per 1,000 girls in 2013. This group has seen slower declines
as well; the birth rate decreased 25 percent between 1991 and 2012, compared to 33
percent among non-Hispanic whites.
.
Oklahoma had the third highest teen birth rate in the United
States in 2013. More than 5,000 babies were born to girls
ages 15 through 19—approximately 14 per day. While
states have experienced significant declines in recent
years, teen pregnancy and birth rates in the United States
remain among the highest in the industrialized world.

Teen Pregnancy
• In Oklahoma, there were 8,860 pregnancies, or approximately 69
pregnancies for every 1,000 girls ages 15 through 19, in 2010, the most
recent year for which data are available.
• Although the state’s teen pregnancy rate declined 34 percent between 1988
and 2010, Oklahoma still had the sixth highest teen pregnancy rate in the
nation in 2010.
Teen Birth
• Oklahoma had the third highest teen birth rate in the United States in 2013.
• In 2013, Oklahoma saw 5,310 births among girls ages 15 through 19—
that’s approximately 14 births every day.
• In 2013, 19 percent of teen births were not the teen’s first. Among girls
ages 18-19, 23 percent of births in 2013 were not their first.
• Among teen births in 2013, 82 percent were to unmarried teens. • Between
1991 and 2013, the state’s teen birth rate declined by 40 percent.
Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS)
• According to the 2013 YRBS, 50 percent of high school students in
Oklahoma have had sexual intercourse. This ranges from almost 31 percent
of freshmen, to 65 percent of high school seniors

Make Efficient Use of Scarce Resources.
Targeting limited resources to communities that
have the highest teen birth rates can make a
considerable difference. In Oklahoma, this might
mean focusing on specific geographic areas with
higher rates or numbers of teen births. For
example, national research by the National
Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned
Pregnancy found that teens in rural counties had
higher birth rates than those in urban or suburban
areas. It could also mean focusing on certain
high-risk populations, such as older teens, certain
racial or ethnic groups, teens who already have a
child, or youth in foster care
Improve Access to Information and Services
Ensure that programs focused on supporting
young parents, including home visiting programs,
also focus on helping delay a subsequent
pregnancy. Maintain access to affordable and
effective family planning services for low-income
teens and young adults to help avoid unplanned
pregnancy. These include, for example, eligibility
for family planning through a subsidized
insurance.
Consider the Role of Parents and Trusted
Adults. In national surveys, more than three in
four teens say it would be easier to postpone
sexual activity and avoid pregnancy if they could
have open, honest conversations with their
parents. Teens consistently say it is their
parents— not their peers, partners or popular
culture—who have the most influence on their
decisions about sex. But these parental
conversations don’t always occur, for a variety of
reasons.

COMPETITOR MATRIX
As a startup non- profit, we are not necessarily competing within any verticals with other non profits in Oklahoma since we can often do better in
program execution through collaborating - which draws attention to that vertical. However, every non-profit is competing with others for donation
dollars and there is no proven way to access this donations or grants (as the case) than getting in the pool of competition for this funds with
other non-profits. Thus, it is necessary to identify our competition and draw a matrix to understand the dynamics of this market

FINANCIAL SUMMARY
Living Grace OKC will build funding support from
Government and private donors in the community
at an aggressive rate of growth. Yet it will take
three years before funding from these sources
becomes strong enough to expand the program.
The primary expenditures for the program are
for the house purchase, marketing and the
program activities for which we are established
. Therefore it is essential that due diligence is
applied to fund allocation for these critical
program responsibilities. An effective
communication system will be established to
report fiscal data so adjustment can be made
quickly to assure the health of the program.
Important Assumptions
The key underlying assumptions are:
• We assume a slow-growth economy, without major
recession.
• We assume that there are no unforeseen changes in
• government grant funding availability.
• We assume a continued need for support by at risk
young pregnant women
• We assume broad community support for young
pregnant women.

RISKS & MITIGATIONS
BUSINESS AREA RISK MITIGATION PLAN
Funding and Investment LIVING GRACE OKC will be focusing resources on
capacity‐building and at the local level. The
biggest risk to the planned case is that we will not be
able to raise investment capital to support Expansion
efforts.
Engage in a feasibility analysis of every
expansion effort such that new initiatives
are only launched when there is adequate
start‐up capital, a committed anchor
philanthropist and community support.
Capacity Constraints Expansion efforts are significantly staff intensive
and
have the ability to drain resources
Invest in resources by adding other new
fundraising positions.
Marketing Low local brand awareness Leverage relationships with other non
profits
Program Materials Protection of our intellectual property. We will conduct a detailed due diligence
process and establish a Memorandum of
Understanding with potential Affiliates
and new Chapters.

  • 13. www.company.com AboutyourCompanySlogan Living Grace OKC offers young pregnant women, that have already been identified as teenage mothers and at-risk, an opportunity nurture their children in a supportive and skill embedded environment to improve their ability to develop a positive attitude towards their future. Through Integration and assistance with resource providers our service offerings are based on several core elements, notable among them are: OUR SERVICES • SERVE VULNERABLE WOMEN: identifies high‐risk young pregnant women based on risk factors shown by research to be most predictive of serious long term negative outcomes. • CREATE AND SUSTAIN ONE‐ON‐ONE RELATIONSHIPS: Research indicates that the single most important factor that that fosters resiliency in high‐risk young pregnant women is a caring and consistent relationship with an adult. Living Grace OKC will strive to provide teenage mothers in our Pregnancy and Adoption Center program with exactly such a relationship with a professional volunteer or mentor. • INTERVENE EARLY: Before negative vices have become ingrained. Early intervention enables us to model and instill positive behaviors while the teenage mother’s mind is still vulnerable. • PROVIDE MEANINGFUL EXPERIENCES: We design unique experiences for each of young pregnant woman that enable them to explore and develop their diverse talents and interests, expand their worldviews, and learn vital relationship and life skills 13 Community Service As part of our effort to expand our influence locally, we recently participated in a community-wide baby shower where 2,500 women and their young families were helped with essential baby items and diapers. Through this we have been able to position our organization to demonstrate the impact we seek.

  • 22. www.company.com AboutyourCompanySlogan MARKET CONTEXT AND NEED A closer look at pregnancies and births among teenagers in Oklahoma finds differences based on age and race. Older teens experience pregnancy and birth at much higher rates than their younger peers. In Oklahoma 69 percent of teen pregnancies in 2010 and 70 percent of teen births in 2013 were to older teens (18- and 19-year-olds). The rate of pregnancy among 18- and 19-year-olds is more than three times that of 15- to 17-year-olds. In addition, at 76.1 per 1,000 females, Oklahoma had the second highest birth rate among older teens of any of the 50 states in 2013. While rates of pregnancies and births have been dropping in all age groups, older teens have not seen the same sharp declines as younger teens. Pregnancy rates among 18- and 19-year-olds have declined 26 percent between 1988 and 2010, compared to 47 percent among teens ages 15-17. Birth rates vary by race and ethnicity as well. Hispanic, black and Native American teens have higher rates of births than white and Asian teens. Hispanic teens have the highest birth rates of any racial or ethnic group—69.2 births per 1,000 girls in 2013. This group has seen slower declines as well; the birth rate decreased 25 percent between 1991 and 2012, compared to 33 percent among non-Hispanic whites. . Oklahoma had the third highest teen birth rate in the United States in 2013. More than 5,000 babies were born to girls ages 15 through 19—approximately 14 per day. While states have experienced significant declines in recent years, teen pregnancy and birth rates in the United States remain among the highest in the industrialized world. • 25. www.company.com AboutyourCompanySlogan Make Efficient Use of Scarce Resources. Targeting limited resources to communities that have the highest teen birth rates can make a considerable difference. In Oklahoma, this might mean focusing on specific geographic areas with higher rates or numbers of teen births. For example, national research by the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy found that teens in rural counties had higher birth rates than those in urban or suburban areas. It could also mean focusing on certain high-risk populations, such as older teens, certain racial or ethnic groups, teens who already have a child, or youth in foster care Improve Access to Information and Services Ensure that programs focused on supporting young parents, including home visiting programs, also focus on helping delay a subsequent pregnancy. Maintain access to affordable and effective family planning services for low-income teens and young adults to help avoid unplanned pregnancy. These include, for example, eligibility for family planning through a subsidized insurance. Consider the Role of Parents and Trusted Adults. In national surveys, more than three in four teens say it would be easier to postpone sexual activity and avoid pregnancy if they could have open, honest conversations with their parents. Teens consistently say it is their parents— not their peers, partners or popular culture—who have the most influence on their decisions about sex. But these parental conversations don’t always occur, for a variety of reasons. • 32. www.company.com AboutyourCompanySlogan .. 32 FINANCIAL SUMMARY Living Grace OKC will build funding support from Government and private donors in the community at an aggressive rate of growth. Yet it will take three years before funding from these sources becomes strong enough to expand the program. The primary expenditures for the program are for the house purchase, marketing and the program activities for which we are established . Therefore it is essential that due diligence is applied to fund allocation for these critical program responsibilities. An effective communication system will be established to report fiscal data so adjustment can be made quickly to assure the health of the program. Important Assumptions The key underlying assumptions are: • We assume a slow-growth economy, without major recession. • We assume that there are no unforeseen changes in • government grant funding availability. • We assume a continued need for support by at risk young pregnant women • We assume broad community support for young pregnant women.
