...Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is a Ministry that is, at state level, in charge for energy issues. Within the next few minutes i would try to give you some basic information about renewable energy sector, especially wind potential and its investments oportunities.
First of all I would like to inform you why to invest in our energy sector. As you can see, energy sector is one of the most...
Also BiH has a favourable and safe environment for investment. Our Law on FDI policy as well as...
BiH is a country with signnificant renewable energy potential that, mostly due to the low electricity price from the one hand, and surplus of electricity production ( as you probably know BiH is a net exporter of electricity) , from the other hand, was not not used enough in the past.
However, in recent period situation is changing and there is a huge interest of the both doemstic and foreign investor in development of RE projects.
When it comes to the wind potential the world wind atla...
At the picture below you can see a location of new planned wind farm in our country. As you can see, the southern part of BiH has the bigest wind potential. There is a huge interest for investement in WF. Within the Indicative Generation Development Plan for the period 2018-2027 that has been prepared by the Independent System operator of BIH more than 30 new WPP are registred, with total installed capacity of more than 1750 MW. But, as i have already sad – for the time been, 350 MW is the connection capacity of wind farms to the transmission grid, and this is distributed between two entities in the ratio of the amount of 230 MW for Federation of BiH and 120 MW for Republic of Srpska.
Bosnia and Herzegovina as a memeber of Energy Community Treaty, among other, undertook certain obligation related to the transposition and implementation of RE directive (2009/28/EC). According to this Directive we were obliged to prepare Renewable energy action plans and to determine binding national target to be achieved through the use of renewable energy in the electricity, heating and cooling, and transport sectors by 2020.
For BiH this target is 40% of RES in total energy conumption until 2020. Renewable energy AP for BiH has been prepared and adopted in march 2016. Entities has also prepred and dopted theirs RE AP.
These AP determined...
Both entity regulatory commisions for energy made Decision of the guaraneed prices and premium for electricity generated from RES. According to them amounts of guaranteed feed in prices for electricity generated in WPP are given in the tables below.
I will not read all these data, this is for your information, and if you are interested you can see it here or at the entiy regulatory commisions web sites.
On this slide i would like to give you information about atractive investment locations for development of the WPP as well as some basic information about name of the WPP, its installed capacity and estimated production, amount of investments, period of return of investment and current projects status. Also, in case you are interested here is a project holder contact information.
As I have already said BiH has a significant potential when it comes to the RES, so except of wind we have a big hidro and solar potential. Actually, curently we are using less than 40% of total available hidro potentilal. Subject of my presentation is BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA WIND POWER PLANTS INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES, but I would like to give you some basic information about other RES potential as well. First about hydro.
According to the Renewavble Energy action plans the quotas...
Again, I will not read all these data, this is for your information, and if you are interested you can see it here or at the entity regulatory commisions web sites. Of course, for all information neede MoFTER is at your disposal. At the end of my presentation is my contact information.
Within the next three slides i will gove you information about atractive investment locations for development of the HPP- both big and small HPPs, as well as some basic information about name of the HPP, its type – is it run of river, or deerivation plant or pumpped PP.
Also here is amount of installed capacity and estimated production, amount of investments, expected pay back period and current projects status.
Again, in case that you are interested here is a project holder contact information.
At this first slide is a list of attractive project of two public companies EPBiH and ERS. In BiH we have three public companies. Third is EP HZHB and its list of attractive project is given on the next slide
Same as for other two public companies, in this table is list of basic information about name of the HPP, its type – is it run of river, or deerivation plant or pumpped PP, amount of installed capacity and estimated production, amount of investments, expected pay back period, current projects status and project holder contact information.
Within this table a basic information about Small hydropower plants (SHPP) - Private Companies that are seeking for a strategic partner are given: name of the HPP, its type , amount of installed capacity and estimated production, amount of investments, expected pay back period, current projects status and project holder contact information.
And last but not least is a BiH photo voltagic potential and PV PP investemnt oportunities
I will not read all data given in the table below, These are Amounts of Guaranteed feed-in prices for electricity generated in PV PP according to the entity regulatory commisions for energy decisions
Same as for other two RES, if you are interested you can see it here or at the entity regulatory commisions web sites .
Table below gives you information about atractive investment locations for development of the Small solar powar plants (SSPP) where Private Companies seeking for a strategic partner.
These are information about name of the SPP, its installed capacity and estimated production,, period of return of investment and current projects status. Also, in case you are interested here is a project holder contact information.
