TEDxSantaMonica: Ideas Worth Spreading in Your Community
1. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that
bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live
speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a smaller group. These local, self-
organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.

Aug 14th 2015 - TRANSFORM
What makes change possible? In a world where people are so
resistant to change, how do we TRANSFORM? Is it repurposing the
future or complete shifts in thinking with brand new ways of
doing things? Or is it simply changing perspective? How will you
TRANSFORM?
Mid October 2015 - PLAY
The eyes of a child; are we able to remember what they actually
see? Play is how children experiment with their world, figure out
what works, and how to get along with their peers. Have we
forgotten the importance of play in our work? How do you PLAY?
Early Dec 2015 - PREPARE
Life is what happens while you are making other plans. How do
we PREPARE in an ever changing and unpredictable world? What
is it that we need to PREPARE for? Creativity and nontraditional
approaches carry more power than ever before. How do you
PREPARE?
Early Feb 2016 - TRANSCEND
We all love a David and Goliath story. We relate because all of us
have at some point been forced to rise above or go beyond the
limits of our immediate circumstances. Join us for heroic and
inspirational stories of achievement and transcendence. We hope
you leave with a renewed desire to TRANSCEND.
5. People worth

1
Recommendation 2:
Talk about your passions
beyond just work.
2
Recommendation 3:
Take as much interest
in the people around you
as you do in the talks or
speakers. Everyone has a
story to tell.

What makes TEDx Santa Monica unique is the team behind it. When Adrian Roup first approached me and shared their
sponsorship opportunities I said yes without hesitation. The demographic in attendance is unique and highly sought after. The
attendees include decision makers, innovators and leaders in Santa Monica, which is the epicenter of a rapidly emerging global
technology hub. TEDx Santa Monica is one of the few events in town designed around engagement and the desire to really get
people talking and connecting. Bulletproof is proud to support an event where our mutual principles are so similarly aligned and
the sum of all parts is clearly greater than the whole. I wholeheartedly recommend involvement as a sponsor or partner.
- Rebecca Forsythe, Events Manager, Bulletproof
TEDxSantaMonica is without doubt one of the most engaging and dynamic event series that we host at Cross Campus. John &
Sharon Bates, Grant Graves, Nataly Caranza, Adrian Roup and their entire team of volunteers and sponsors are a pleasure to
work with and provide amazing atmosphere and content at each and every event. The events leave attendees and sponsors
feeling inspired, united and energized. The event is produced with care and professionalism to maximize the engagement and
conversations that take place between attendees. The amount of ideas, connections and smiling faces that come out of it never
ceases to amaze us. We are very proud to host TEDxSantaMonica and urge you to experience one of their events first hand.
