3. Who uses Salesforce
CRM in the financial
industry?
◦ Financial advisors
◦ Wealth Management
Managers
◦ Banks
◦ Insurance Companies
◦ Lending Providers
◦ Capital Market Services
4. Some recommended apps available:

Salesforce is secure and has been
tested by the Department of
Defense, so accessing your
Salesforce while on vacation and
worrying about security won’t be a
problem.
So buckle up and log into your Salesforce CRM!
5. Check your recent items in your
dashboard to determine which
items have recently been looked
at (documents, data, contacts)
Know where to access information
quickly—create a new
lead, account, contact, etc.
Decide which tasks or goals are
achievable while away from the
office—be realistic!
6. Get organized! Choose only 3 tasks
to focus on while in Salesforce—
don’t overwhelm yourself with all
that you can do and should do.
You will waste time if you do not
have an action plan on the go and
know what you can realistically
achieve while away from your
office.
Drill down on those 3 tasks and see
where you need help and what you
can achieve independently. You
may find that you need to assign
the task to someone else.
7. After meeting with a client, transfer those
paper notes into Salesforce so they never
get lost and all data is saved in your
CRM!
Move away from
the sticky notes
and save it in the
cloud!
8. Assign goals to team
members and track the
progress of those goals.
Impress your manager by
staying on top of your goals.
Sample Goals for your
practice:
◦ Build client base AUM
◦ Build client pipeline
◦ Complete X of quarterly reports
9. Create events or tasks that will
sync to your Google or Outlook
calendar
Create a multi-user calendar to
view what your team members
are up to while you are away
from the office.
Invite others to the team and
see what is everyone has
assigned to them and for that
week you are out.
10. Save time and energy by sending
follow-up messages to multiple
contacts at once
11. Check for missed phone calls
in your CRM and be able to pull
up all information—emails,
missed phone calls, etc.
If the missed phone call is from
someone unknown, find out
who it is by simply typing the
phone number in the search
box as well. Salesforce will be
able to search across the
whole database and find it for
you.
