The Okra team pitched this deck last Friday in Singapore and took away the PFAN Asia Clean Energy and Climate Financing award. We're now talking to investors and looking to translate the hard work of the team into closing a $1.2M round of investment over the next couple of months. Our vision is a future where everyone has electricity and enough of it to lead productive lifestyles. The macrodata suggests 42% of new off-grid electrification is going to be from microrgrids, but it's yet to be answered how and by whom. Having spoken with many utilities and project developers, they'll tell you straight up that it's not worth their time connecting isolated villages of less than a few hundred people into costly and complex to install micro-grids. We've built our technology not for big utilities but specifically for local companies who know their own context, can identify customers who want electricity and are willing to go out there to do the installations. Our technology simply makes it easy and profitable for them to do so. The distributors install the tech and then our smart systems take over and manage the plug & play networks for them.
