3. AgeTech Accelerator UK is an innovation support
programme that scouts, identifies and supports
businesses with innovative products and services
for later life living. It works with partners across the
UK and Europe whose organisations or businesses
have the wellbeing and support of the older
population at their heart.
The programme is embedded into the UK's ageing
support ecosystem and has a strong network of
contacts across government and the private and
public sector. Its philosophy is to accelerate,
validate and enumerate the most promising and
viable products at the market ready, prototype and
concept stage. The programme is a leading source
of knowledge and industry expertise.
Overview
Track record
• ATA has supported five cohorts of businesses from
four countries at differing stages of product
development and has a growing database of 1200
more.
• ATA has introduced businesses to buyers and
helped develop the right business models for the
UK and cross-border markets.
• ATA has developed a programme of services which
helps businesses develop a product that people will
buy through providing access to potential users,
buyers, commissioners and distributors who help
validate the idea, provide feedback on prototypes
and enable testing of near-to-market or scaling
businesses in the field or with larger pilots.
