“First we shape buildings. Thereafter they shape us”. As Sir Winston Churchill pointed it rightfully,
structures influence our behaviours. Space is a managerial tool in the restructuring of power,
interactions, identity, status, materiality. It bears so deep implications, as one defines itself in space
and time, context. We use space to engender commitment, creativity, innovation, action and results.
THE HIDDEN DIMENSION(S) OF SPACE
27. ü .ü .
Librairies, museums, monuments…. Their architecture, their functional, esthetical, symbolic,
imaginary, sensorial, cognitive, emotional dimensions, all of which designed around our needs,
expectations and activities. The design of spaces and places impacts knowledge sharing and creation.
SPACE MEETS KNOWLEDGE
28. ü .ü .COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE
The beautiful French Presidential Office at the
Palais de l’Elysée. At some periods, the palace
hosted dancing evenings. A perfect place to dance.
Chateau de Fontaineblau : Le Cabinet de
topographie, considered the first project
room, set up by Napoleon.
29. ü .ü .BEAUTY IS EVERYWHERE
Any being enjoy living in beauty, and beauty surge so
sublimely both in natural and man shaped spaces.
Fontainebleau Castle, Pearlsand cove, Beaubourg muséum
30. ü .ü .
Chateau de Fontainebleau : Napoleon’s working
cabinet with a bed and specially designed desk,
high ceiling. Be it for a genius or a passionate,
committed being, space matters to dream,
imagine, reflect, decide and act.
SPACES AND PLACES TO DREAM
Do you dream ?

“Form follows flows and enables the state of
flow. Organisation and architecture interact and
inter- influence themselves, the processes and
the outcomes of human activities.”
Pr Dr Gunter Henn, Henn Architekten.
ARCHITECTURE OF KNOWLEDGE
FLOW, a mental state of pure calm
See, decide and act
49. ü .ü .LET’S CONNECT AND ENJOY THE BEAUTY OF
AFFINITY
Sometimes one
can feel isolated
But we can
connect
« Brother, Sister,
if you differ
from me, far
from depriving
me, you truly
enhance me »
Antoine de
St Exupéry
