documents, etc.
 Prequalifying, appointing & controlling consultants, contractors, nominated sub
contractors & suppliers based on high standard practices and with prudence to avoid
disputes, claims and delay occurrences, to evaluate variations and claims, to solicit the
best value services, etc.
 Preparing and defining scopes, milestones and K.P.I’s to meet the projects’ objectives and
clients’ requirements including deployment of resources, responsibilities matrixes, etc.
 Directing, mentoring and working closely with multinational staff of professionals to ensure
awareness, to acquire optimum services and to influence the parties to benefit the projects.
 Managing simultaneously several projects and tasks either independently or with assigned
staff.
 Liaising and interacting with the concerned statutory authorities, master developers, peer
reviewers, funding bodies, end users, etc. to ensure the release of NOC’s and building permits
on time as well as full integration between aspects and a smooth progress free of deficiencies.

Project and Position: Client Side Project(s) Director for Several types
and sizes of international and local projects in the Pre contract stage
(Design and Tendering) and Post contract stage (Construction
Management). Projects include buildings, dredging and marine works,
industrial, fit-out works, etc. with construction costs up to $500 Millions.
Responsibilities:
A- Initiating and establishing the projects’ briefs, requests for proposal
(RFP), defining the consultants’ scope of services, prequalifying and
inviting the shortlisted international and local consultants.
B- Evaluating and approving the consultancy offers / tender submissions
of the design and construction management services (pre contract and
post contract) and establishing relevant agreements with the
appointed consultants based on FIDIC white book and in
coordination with the company’s departments & international parties
related to the legal and insurance aspects forming the agreements.
C- Managing the design progress and technical workshops with the key
stakeholders and authorities to ensure all deliverables comply with the
scope of services, business intents, budgets, expected qualities,
timeline schedules, defined projects CAPEX, and initiating VE items
as well as approving the tender documents.
D- Managing the construction tendering processes including the
invitation to tender for the short listed contractors, responding to
contractors’ queries, evaluating and approving the tender submissions
technically and commercially, establishing agreements with the
appointed contractors based on the suitable FIDIC according to the
type of projects and issuing the letters of awards to main contractors
and nominated sub contractors.
E- Managing the construction processes on site starting from
contractors’ mobilization up to the construction preliminary and final
hand over. This includes the approval of construction work programs,
assessment of claims and variations, managing progress and technical
meetings, approving the technical submittals / materials samples /
mock-ups, carrying out all contractual correspondences, etc. as well
as monitoring and evaluating the consultants’ decisions and
contractors’ performances, etc.

One of the Middle East’s most prestigious and largest Retail
Shopping Malls with a built up area of 400,000 Square meters
comprising more than 350 retail units out of which allied brands with
Al Futtaim Group are included such as Ikea, Marks & Spencer, Toys
R us, Carrefour, etc.
Contract Construction Cost: Egy.Pound 2.5Billions ($415Millions)
Responsibilities:
A- Construction management including the evaluation & approval of
the project’s revised program of works, monitoring the progress, etc.

B- Contract administration based on FIDIC and the conditions of
particular applications including the assessment of Contractor’s
claims, management of variations, contractual correspondences, etc.
C- Managing and coordinating the project’s redesign and development
process with the client in Dubai and the other parties in Cairo to ensure full
integration and compliance with the approved design intents, building
permits and the contract documents in time, cost and quality.
D- Conducting executive meetings in Dubai and Cairo regularly with
the parties to manage and assess variations and to report to the client
for the implications on the project’s quality, cost and time, prior to
proceeding with the contractor.
E- Technical inputs including the approval of construction &
application methodologies, technical submittals, performance and
visual mock-ups, sample of materials, etc.
F- Directing and mentoring the project’s staff in construction

Project and Position: Project Director / Construction Manager for the Burj Al-
AlamTower (The World Tower) in Dubai, U.A.E. (www.burjalalam.com).
The world’s highest Office / Hotel Tower for JAL Hotels located at
the Business Bay Area in Dubai with an overall Height of 108 floors
(501 Meters), 12 Podium Levels & 5 basements. Tower building
comprises 88 floors of Luxurious Freehold Offices and 20 floors of 5
Stars Hotel with full amenities while Podium levels dedicated for high
standard Shopping Mall.
Estimated Construction Cost : Dhs 3 Billions ($820Millions).
Responsibilities:
A- Client Relation including Development & Management of the
Consultancy agreement and its subsidiaries including Project’s
Deployment Chart, Responsibilities Matrix of the assigned parties,
following up the company’s payments, etc.
B- Follow up and liaison for the different Design Deliverables and No
Objection Certificates with the Local Municipal Authorities to ensure
the release on time of the design approvals and Building Permits .
C- Managing value engineering workshops to ensure compliance with
the Project’s Budget and specifications of all engineering disciplines.
D- Planning and Defining the Project’s Key Milestones of each
Deliverable at the construction stage.
E- Project Management including the Preparation of tender

Executive Height Tower at Tecom for DAMAC Properties – Dubai,
U.A.E. (DAMAC Head Offices).
Outstanding designed office tower with 28 floors comprising of luxurious
freehold office spaces with the full amenities, health club, swimming pool,
jogging track, restaurants and car parks distributed over 3 Basement and 5
Podium Levels. DAMAC Properties head offices, several European
Consulates and Regional offices of multi-national companies have
occupied many premises. The Project was successfully completed on time
without delays and with a cost saving to the client while upgrading the
contract technical specifications of many of the installed works such as
finishing works, façade building envelope, etc.
Contract Construction Cost : Dhs. 200,000,000 ($55,000,000)
Responsibilities: A- Client relation including the development &
administration of the contract consultancy agreement at the design &
construction stages.
B- Project management at the pre contract stage including the
preparation & management of tender documents, design review, value
engineering, tendering & awarding processes to main & nominated
contractors.
C- Construction management including approval of Contractors’ work
program, approval of quality and HSE plans, Monitoring the progress
of the engineering, procurement and construction works, Management
of progress meetings, reporting regularly to the client to ensure the
project’s adequacy in time, cost and quality, directing and mentoring
the site supervision staff, etc.

Jewelries makers as well as accommodation for the workers with the

Responsibilities:
A- Construction Management including approval of Contractor’s
work program, approval of quality and HSE plans, Monitoring the
progress of the engineering, procurement and construction works,
Management of progress meetings, reporting regularly to the client to
ensure the project’s adequacy in time, cost and quality, directing and
mentoring the site supervision staff, etc.
B- Contract Administration implementing FIDIC including management

Project and Position: Senior Project Architect / Assistant Project
Manager for a prestigious cultural center for the Ministry of Public
Works in Ras Al Khaimah, U.A.E.
Outstanding Design for a Luxurious Cultural Center consisting of
foyer, auditorium for 1500 persons with all theatre facilities including
sophisticated interior design and acoustical works, public library,
offices for the Ministry’s employees, VIP lounges & facilities.

Responsibilities: Assisting the client to approve civil &
architectural items such as color schemes, samples of materials,
visual and technical performance mock-ups, etc.., Coordinating
with the Design Office to clear discrepancies, Responding the
contractor’s Requests For Information and other quality control
forms, etc., Checking and Approving shop drawings and technical
submittals, Supervising the works at site, etc.
Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (EMARAT), Dubai, U.A.E.
Position: Senior Architect / Technical Coordinator and Architectural
Team Leader.
Responsibilities:
A) Design and technical coordination for corporation’s owned
projects including the standard / non standard filling service stations,
the corporation’s main labor accommodation, etc.
B) Liaising and interacting with the end users of the food & beverages
outlets to ensure the full integration and incorporation of the
operators’ requirements with the company’s design guidelines.

Project and Position: Client Side Project(s) Director for Several types and sizes of international and local projects in the Pre contract stage (Design and Tendering) and Post contract stage (Construction Management). Projects include buildings, dredging and marine works, industrial, fit-out works, etc. with construction costs up to $500 Millions. Responsibilities: A- Initiating and establishing the projects’ briefs, requests for proposal (RFP), defining the consultants’ scope of services, prequalifying and inviting the shortlisted international and local consultants. B- Evaluating and approving the consultancy offers / tender submissions of the design and construction management services (pre contract and post contract) and establishing relevant agreements with the appointed consultants based on FIDIC white book and in coordination with the company’s departments & international parties related to the legal and insurance aspects forming the agreements. C- Managing the design progress and technical workshops with the key stakeholders and authorities to ensure all deliverables comply with the scope of services, business intents, budgets, expected qualities, timeline schedules, defined projects CAPEX, and initiating VE items as well as approving the tender documents. (www.festivalcitycairo.com) One of the Middle East’s most prestigious and largest Retail Shopping Malls with a built up area of 400,000 Square meters comprising more than 350 retail units out of which allied brands with Al Futtaim Group are included such as Ikea, Marks & Spencer, Toys R us, Carrefour, etc. Contract Construction Cost: Egy.Pound 2.5Billions ($415Millions) Responsibilities: A- Construction management including the evaluation & approval of the project’s revised program of works, monitoring the progress, etc.

Tower building comprises 88 floors of Luxurious Freehold Offices and 20 floors of 5 Stars Hotel with full amenities while Podium levels dedicated for high standard Shopping Mall. Responsibilities: A- Client Relation including Development & Management of the Consultancy agreement and its subsidiaries including Project’s Deployment Chart, Responsibilities Matrix of the assigned parties, following up the company’s payments, etc. B- Follow up and liaison for the different Design Deliverables and No Objection Certificates with the Local Municipal Authorities to ensure the release on time of the design approvals and Building Permits . Outstanding designed office tower with 28 floors comprising of luxurious freehold office spaces with the full amenities, health club, swimming pool, jogging track, restaurants and car parks distributed over 3 Basement and 5 Podium Levels. DAMAC Properties head offices, several European Consulates and Regional offices of multi-national companies have occupied many premises. The Project was successfully completed on time without delays and with a cost saving to the client while upgrading the contract technical specifications of many of the installed works such as finishing works, façade building envelope, etc. Contract Construction Cost : Dhs. 200,000,000 ($55,000,000) Responsibilities: A- Client relation including the development & administration of the contract consultancy agreement at the design & construction stages. B- Project management at the pre contract stage including the preparation & management of tender documents, design review, value engineering, tendering & awarding processes to main & nominated contractors. C- Construction management including approval of Contractors’ work program, approval of quality and HSE plans, Monitoring the progress of the engineering, procurement and construction works, Management of progress meetings, reporting regularly to the client to ensure the project’s adequacy in time, cost and quality, directing and mentoring the site supervision staff, etc. D- Contract Administration implementing FIDIC and the conditions of particular applications including management of variation orders, assessment of contractors’ claims including formal E.O.T.’s, disputes and conflicts resolutions, etc. E- Checking & Approving Contractor’s technical submittals, samples of materials, visual & technical performance mock-ups, etc. Project and Position: Project Manager / Resident Engineer for Al Wasl Club & Al Shabab Club Developments for Dubai Municipality, Dubai, U.A.E. Recreational & luxurious hotel Project (London Suites Hotel) consisting of existing structures where attached new buildings have formed an expansion to the existing building in addition to full rehabilitation and refurbishment for the existing buildings as well as interior & fit out works at the existing and new buildings. Project was challenging in terms of technical coordination due to the abeyance of As Built documents (drawings / specs) and unforeseeable / embedded works beyond the contract scope of works and due to the major Variation Orders initiated by the Employer and the End User during the construction stage.

Project and Position: Senior Project Architect / Assistant Project Manager for a prestigious cultural center for the Ministry of Public Works in Ras Al Khaimah, U.A.E. Outstanding Design for a Luxurious Cultural Center consisting of foyer, auditorium for 1500 persons with all theatre facilities including sophisticated interior design and acoustical works, public library, offices for the Ministry’s employees, VIP lounges & facilities.
