The 4 R’s
Risk Reduction
Aims to mitigate potential dangers brought about by natural calamities and reducing a community’s vulnerability by
enhancing community preparedness and capabilities through an active awareness campaign
Focus will be on July – national disaster consciousness month
Readiness
Intends to strengthen the capabilities of local chapters and communities to respond to disasters by conducting disaster
preparedness training and by providing survival/72 hour kits to strategic and capable LO’s
Response
Espouses to equip LO’s to attend to the immediate needs of their local communities before, during and or after a disaster.
Rehabilitation
Seeks to provide material and/or professional skills to the rehabilitation of affected communities
Objectives:
To achieve environmental improvements and sustainability
To attain clean water and sanitation
To help educate citizens on their role for a Green Philippines
