 CONCLUSION.
INTRODUCTION OF WIRELESS
NETWORK
 Wireless is a term used to describe
telecommunications in which electromagnetic
waves (rather than some form of wire) carry the
signal over part or all of the communication path.
 The word wireless is dictionary defined as
"having no wires". In networking terminology,
wireless is the term used to describe any
computer network where there is no physical
wired connection between sender and receiver,
but rather the network is connected by radio
waves and/or microwaves to maintain
communications. Wireless networking utilizes
specific equipment such as NICs, APs
1G
TECHNOLOG
Y-1G refers to the first generation of wireless
telephone technology(mobile
telecommunications) which was first introduced
in 1980s and completed in early 1990s.
It's Speed was up to 2.4kbps.
It allows the voice calls in 1 country.
1G network use Analog Signal.
AMPS(Advanced Mobile Phone System) was
first launched in USA in 1G mobile systems.
LIMITATIONS-
 Battery life is poor.
 Poor voice quality.
 No Security system.
 Phones are large in size.
 Capacity is limited.
 Poor Handoff Reliability
2G
TECHNOLOGY
-
2G technology refers to the 2nd
generation which is based on GSM.
It was launched in Finland by
Radiolinja in the year 1991.
2G network use digital signals.
It’s data speed was up to 64kbps.
FEATURES
INCLUDES-
 It enables services such as text
messages, picture messages and
MMS(Multi Media Message).
 It provides better quality and
capacity.
 2G requires strong digital signals to
help mobile phones work. If there is
no network coverage in any specific
area , digital signals would weak.
 These systems are unable to handle
complex data such as Videos.
LIMITATIONS-
WIRELESS MODELS OF 1G AND
2G
1G WIRELESS SYSTEMS 2G WIRELESS SYSTEMS
2G
TECHNOLOGY-
 2.5G is a technology which is between 2nd generation(2G)
and 3rd generation(3G) in the world of mobiles.
 It bridged 2G to 3G wireless technology.
FEATURES INCLUDES-
 Conference Call, Speed Dialing, Hands Free, Loudspeaker,
Call Diver.
 Navigation Technology with Nokia maps 2.0.
 Emails can be Sent/Receive.
 Speed up to 200kbps.
 Battery life is good (Talk Time-14 hrs. and
Standby Time-528hrs).
 Web Browsing(users can use internet).
3G
TECHNOLOGY-
 3G technology refer to third
generation which was introduced in
year 2000s.
 3G Technology is designed for
multimedia communication. It
provides services like higher data
transfer rates.
 Speed- While in 3G technology the
downloading and uploading speeds are
up to 21 Mbps and 5.7 Mbps
respectively.
FEATURES
INCLUDES-
 3G technology offers a high level of security
when communicating with other devices.
 3G network allows video calling, live streaming,
mobile internet access, IPTV, etc. on the mobile
phones.
 3G technology the downloading and uploading
speeds are up to 21 Mbps and 5.7 Mbps
respectively.
 In 3G Network Videos/Images can be download
easily.
 Provide faster communication.
 Large storage capacity.
 Application can be install in phones.
LIMITATION
S-
 3G Phones are much costlier.
 3G network will be excessively high if they make
use of the various applications of 3G.
 A drawback of 3G is that it is simply not
available in certain regions.
 3G Phones are large in size.
4G
TECHNOLOGY-
 The official launch of 4G is due in early 2015. On 12
March 2015, ANRT have reviewed all applications,
and accorded 4G licenses to the main operators.
 Speed up to 100Mbps-1Gbps.
 Fourth generation (4G) technology will offer many
advancement to the wireless market, including
downlink data rates well over 100 Mbps.
 One of the basic term used to describe 4G is
MAGIC.
MAGIC:
M- Mobile Multimedia
A- Anytime Anywhere
G- Global Mobility Support
I- Integrated Wireless Solution
C- Customized Personal Services
Also known as Mobile Broadband Everywhere.
 Provide any type of services at any time as per our
requirement.
 Higher security functions.
FEATURES INCLUDES-
 Large storage capacity.
 Security is More.
 High Speed.
 Provide faster communication.
LIMITATION
S-
 Battery drain very fast.
 Hard to implement.
 Need complicated hardware.
 Expensive equipment required to implement
next generation network.
COMPARISON BETWEEN 3G AND 4G

TECHNOLOG
Y-
 5G (5th generation mobile
networks or 5th generation wireless
systems) denotes the next major phase
of mobile telecommunications
standards beyond the current4G/IMT-
Advanced standards.
 Complete wireless communication with
almost no limitations.
 There are lots of improvements from
1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G to 5G in the world
of telecommunications.
 The new coming 5G technology is
available in the market in affordable
rates, high peak future and much
reliability than its preceding
technologies.
5G
VISION-
FEATURES
INCLUDES
 The 5G technology is providing up to 25
Mbps connectivity speed.
 The 5G technology also support virtual
private network.
 The uploading and downloading speed of 5G
technology touching the peak.
 Uploading and Downloading speed of 5G
Technology is up to 1Gbps.
