customers. It utilizes Akamai’s proven technology and expertise to design and deploy CDN
services quickly and reduce upfront complexity and cost. The operator can make capacity
and network deployment decisions with a CDN infrastructure that is maintained by Akamai.
• Aura Control System enables operators to interface with the full suite of Akamai Network
Operator products. This unified set of tools supports fault, configuration, accounting,
performance and security management (fCAPS), giving network operators visibility over
their content delivery network and services for Aura licensed and SaaS products.
• Akamai Federation provides the ability to federate with the Akamai Intelligent Platform™,
the world’s largest distributed, cloud-computing platform. Operators can leverage off-net
federation to gain global delivery of their content with a single business agreement, and/or
an overflow feature to deliver content on-net with redundancy and additional capacity
in the event of unplanned capacity needs for flash crowd events.
