3. The green engine is one of the most interesting discoveries of
the century.
Green engine is a piston less engine.
It has comparatively high efficiency and exhaust emissions are
nearly zero.
In present world, the energy resources and fuel sources are
limited so these engines have great significance due to high
efficiency.
3
4. The application of green engine is generally in generators.
This engine may be revolution in this technology driven
world due to its efficiency and zero exhaust emission.
4
5. Green engine is the internal combustion engine with some or
major modifications in its parts and design.
The green engine is one of the most interesting discoveries of
the new millennium.
The efficiency of this engine is high when compared to the
contemporary engines and also the exhaust emissions are
near zero.
The significance of the engine lies in the efficiency when the
present world conditions of limited resources of energy are
considered.
5
6. Green engine is a six phase engine which has a very low exhaust
emission and high efficiency.
It can adapt to multiple fuels.
6
7. Today world is facing the major problems regarding energy
crisis.
Along with this we are facing major environmental trouble
due to increase in harmful gases which are evolved from
nowhere else but the combustion of these conventional energy
sources.
Major portion of fuels is burnt in the engines used for various
purposes like main automobiles, generators, power plants etc.
Daily consumption of petroleum all over the world today is in
millions of barrels, of which the major part is for automobile
use.
7
8. The term phase is used instead of stroke.
The engine has no piston.
The six phases are :
• Intake
• Compression
• Mixing
• Combustion
• Power
• Exhaust

Parameters Conventional Engine Green Engine
Size and Weight High 1/5 to 1/10 of the conventional piston
engines
Efficiency Upto 30% for Petrol
engines and upto 40%
Diesel Engines.
Upto 65% for Green Engines.
Type of Fuel Only single type of fuel can
be used.
Multi-fuels can be used.
Emission High Low
Noise and Vibration High Low
Volumetric Efficiency Low High
Heat Loss in Exhaust gases High Low
Work output Low High
Comparison between Conventional Engine and Green engine :
12. 1. It can be used in automobiles and air craft like
conventional engine.
2. Engineering applications.
3. Military use.
4. Mines.
5. Electrical Generators.
6. Ships and submarines
12
13. Green Engine can work with large variety of fuels
which makes it a good choice for using non
conventional fuels like bio diesel.
Pollution is minimized by Green Engine.
No limitations and difficulties are found to any extent
till now.
It is a revolution in new technology.
