WHO, WHAT, WHY?
Welcome to Day 0 of Inspired! First and foremost, I (Jake) want to emphasize that what
you are doing is backed by some good ol' fashioned science. Most of what you'll learn is
from the foundation of Positive Psychology, which is a division of psychology dedicated
to the study of making humans more joyful, resilient, and happier. We did the hard
work of sifting through the vast amount of research and boiled it down for you so you
can reap the benefits with as little time and effort as possible!
I've spent the past 3+ years diving deep into this material and have interviewed several
experts in the field. Inspired is the culmination of my favorite topics that I have
researched and everything you see is taken from leaders in positive psychology and
beyond. What you are doing is proven by scientists to work. I didn't invent anything
new here other than a more easy & fun way to put the science of Gratitude into action!
5. Think of me like a journal in your pocket. When you text me, I am
copying your responses over to your inspired journal, which you'll
receive at the end of the 21 days!
I'm also your accountability buddy, concierge service, coach, friend,
sounding board, and really whatever you need on a given day. The
whole point of this is that it is personal and catered to you, so
please never hesitate to speak your mind or ask questions!
Most importantly, just like a journal, everything you share is 100%
confidential and not shared with anyone but you!

21 days to form a habit
Studies show that it takes 21 days to fully
form a habit. If you are able to stick with
this course, you'll be well on your way to
incorporating the practice of Gratitude
into your life; teeing yourself up for a
lifetime of joy and happiness.
9. Beware of
Beware of "The Hump"
"The Hump"
There's something very scary I have to warn you about. It's a very mean
monster and his name is The Hump. He hides in the deep dark depths of your
mind and his one goal is to stop you from making Gratitude into a habit.
The Hump tends to appear around the 8 day mark of this course. He will tell
you that you're too busy, that it can wait, etc. If you listen to him, one missed
day will turn into three and that will snowball into you ghosting me :/
Unfortunately, I've seen this happen time and time again to young innocent
people like you (1 in 3 people historically have not finished this course).
Every single person who has completed the 21 days has given glowing
reviews of how much of a positive impact this course has had on them, and
how it has changed their life for the better. It may not be easy some days, and
if you are able to stick with it, I promise you won't regret it :)

Within the first few days you'll be put in a cohort of 3-
4 people doing Inspired alongside you. Your cohort is
your team and support system to help ensure that
you finish the course, defeat The Hump, and have fun
along the way!
Who knows, maybe your future BFFL is in your cohort

11. HABIT STACKING
HABIT STACKING
One of the best ways to avoid the wraths of The Hump and to
build a strong habit is through 'habit stacking'. Think of
something you do every morning (waking up, brushing your
teeth, drinking coffee, etc.) and commit to a time when you
do Inspired immediately after one of these habits.
You will receive each day's exercise first thing in the morning,
and ideally it will be one of the first things you do every day.
