3. RESEARCH
I feel like the strengths of my research was picking
videos of songs, this helped because when it came to
putting my ideas to a song I had a very strong feelings
for ones that would work and ones that probably
wouldn’t. I listen to music every single day and some
days I find myself ranking songs based on how I think
that song, video and artist link to me as a person but
also how I think they will link to me and my hobbies.
For me the weakness so maybe not using different paced
music. I feel like I could have mixed up speeds and had
researched some fast, medium and slow pace songs I like
and tried to fit my idea with them. This may have made
the video a bit better with the different types of footage
that I used in the video.
4. PLANNING
When it came to planning I had an idea straight away but
I knew that rules with covid may come into play at some
point when I was ready to switch when I had to. I feel like
this was the best part the fact I knew my backup and
went straight into using it and I’m glad I did. Ever since I
was young I always make sure I have a backup for
whatever I may be doing because then it means if
something doesn’t play out how it should I don’t have to
stress out I can just switch straight on and get on with
whatever it is.
I don’t really think I had a weakness I think the only issue
of the new covid rules meaning I used the backup plan
instead of the original one. After finishing the video I
personally think both of my plans would have looked as
5. TIME MANAGEMENT
As I said in my production log due the week of filming I
wanted to move course so from Monday-Wednesday I
didn’t film but then Thursday I started Friday and Sunday
I filmed the remaining bits of footage. When it came to
editing I feel I used my time correctly and that meant
when the week came to an end I felt I had put together
an all round extremely nice moving music video.
If I had more time then I possibly would have filmed
some other sport footage like soccer or cricket because
those are again sports I love. I feel this may have added a
new level to the end result.
6. TECHNICAL QUALITIES -
CAMERA
The camera angles I wanted to use was
mainly from side or behind as seen in the
pictures above. Because of what I wanted to
shoot I didn’t really want to show my face
until I needed the extra footage did I
decided to add my fac into the video.
7. TECHNICAL QUALITIES –
EDITING/POST
I took some inspiration from TikTok for this because I wanted to
use something a bit different rather than just having some shots
of my face or me walking around acting as something I’m not.
Tiktok is a place for people to create funny content or just to be
themselves.
8. AESTHETIC QUALITIES
I think my work looks good and shows what I wanted to get across. Some
people may not understand the concept idea and song choice but to me
it’s a song that sums me and my past up but also shows how I have
developed as a person over the last 2-3 years. To me I believe it was
creative. I think I could improve the video, how I’d improve it would be
adding in different sports because I love sports.
9. AUDIENCE APPEALAs the target audience was an age group that
I’m part of been 16 but also understand quite
well. Boys around these ages are into their
sports mainly rugby and football in England but
there is some who like Cricket, Golf or
American football. With the TikTok vibes of
the transitions that links well to the target
audience because Tiktok does have a lot of
famous people from 16-18 because of the app
but also because you can express yourself on
there, that’s a reason I wore the red top in the
picture that is my GSCE Pe top from Manor and
I wore that to show the true me and where I've
come.
With the song I used I feel like that appeals to the
target audience because the lyrics link to experiences
that people in this age group can getting feeling for
songs. Sports now days can be played by anyone, so
this gives diversity and me using sports in the video
I’m hoping people getting where I’m coming from
when I play sport to escape the issues of the outside
world. At the end of my video I put a little message
over an image of a beautiful pink sky, and it said
‘Always do what makes you happy, never let people
change you’ this is to me is important because if you
aren’t true to yourself then when you meet people you

I’m happy that people liked the message at the end because that

exact the same.
What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
I think all the feedback was helpful because I know I
could have added some others sports footage in or have
some more close ups of me.
15. PEER FEEDBACK SUMMARY
Based on the feedback I would add in some footage of me playing
different sports or have more footage of me. I’d do this because it
would just add a new level into the video I feel. I also could have
added in some other quotes at different points in the video to see
if people had the same reaction and felt the same way I do about
certain aspects of life.
