4. *it is acute highly fatal disease of all warm blooded
animals
*transmitted by saliva of rabid animal
*ch` by : - mania
-ascending paralysis (from hind limb to trunk &
fore limb(
Clinical signs:
1-in prodromal phase → the animal isolate itself from the
herd & stop eating
2-in the excitative phase (furious form( :
●the animal become hyperesthesia , restless and
attack & bite other animal & people
●cattle → grinding on teeth with continous bellowing
●horse → frequent grinding on their teeth

5. 3-paralytic form (dumb form(:
●profuse salivation & inability to swallow
●dropping of lower jaw
●ascending paralysis
●flaccid paralysis
Treatment:
No treatment , only treatment of the wound washing
with soap & water , then use Alcohol 70%

6. Vaccination:
Live attenuated vaccine & inactivated vaccine
*2type of vaccine are used →Flury vaccine & ERA vaccine
*the immunity of ERA vaccine is 3 years in cattle & 2 years
in horse & dogs
*age of vaccination:
-calves from vaccinated dam → at 4 months of age &
booster dose at 10 month
-the vaccine given by I/M injection
