2. Liquiburst. Power with care.
No mechanical contact with surface
Low pressure water jet
High performance
Cleaning takes the same time as the most effective conventional brush-based solutions
Cleaning all the hardly accessible areas underwater
Including cleaning between grates without dismantlement (sea-chest, keel-coolers etc)
Cleaning with outboard water only
Underwater ship cleaning is no longer a choice between damaged coatings and
fuel overconsumption.
3. Technology
LiquiBurst Underwater Cleaning Technology was designed to be applied for any underwater
cleaning works on all types of surfaces. It is introduced to the international maritime market as
a sole solution for highly-efficient underwater ship cleaning which enables to avoid damages of
fragile ship’s coatings such as antifouling, foul-release and others due to absolute absence of
mechanical or high pressure contact with the surface.
Cleaning is carried out by non-contact and low pressure impact to fouling using only
outboard water. Such an effect is achieved due to a very precise use of hydrodynamic laws.
Water flow is supplied to the device at insignificant pressure (to begin with 110 bars). The liquid
is squeezed and destroyed until the certain degree in the machine which results in creation of
vapor saturated jet in combination with water at the outlet. Highly saturated steam caverns are
discharged from LiquiBurst devices and burst simultaneously when they reach an object. Due to
the pointed burst of these caverns any growth is easily removed from any surface.
LiquiBurst affects only highly poriferous objects, such as any type of fouling, concrete etc.
Meanwhile smooth and elastic surfaces, such as ship’s coatings, silicon, human skin, rubber
glove and others are left safe and unaffected.

6. Brief case study
LiquiBurst allows routine and frequent underwater cleaning without concerns about damaging
hull coatings. With LiquiBurst ship related parties are able to carry out underwater cleaning when
it is necessary and are free to choose hull cleaning strategy for their fleets.
It is a well-known fact that slime and grass appearance leads to fuel overconsumption of about 8
to 19%. However ship-owners and managers nowadays prefer to lose money waiting for bigger
fouling or visible impacts on ship’s performance, but not to proceed with hull cleaning in
reasonable terms. This can be understood. Using contact methods of cleaning (even with the
“softest” brushes) the coating is inevitably damaged in such a scope that next time the fouling
will adhere and accumulate faster. Moreover it is likely that in several contact cleanings the
coating will completely lose its features and require re-application or spot-repair in dry-dock.
These expenses are far bigger then savings hull cleaning provides, so no wonder nobody wants
to make hull cleaning and put the coating under aggressive contact of brush unless it is
inevitable.

7. At the same time, if the coating were
not damaged so much, frequent and
due-time underwater cleaning would
pay back itself and bring conspicuous
winnings from saved fuel. This could
be achieved if the surface were not
posed to mechanical or high-pressure
impact.
LiquiBurst technology, assuring
underwater cleaning without any
mechanical contact with outboard
water at low pressure. With main focus
on slime, algae and sea-grass,
LiquiBurst is equally effective on
harder types of fouling, such as
calcareous and barnacles.
LiquiBurst complete underwater hull
cleaning, including hardly accessible
areas behind grates, takes the same
time as cleaning with the most
advanced contact-based (brush)
solution.
