3. The primary beneficiaries of the H1B Sponsorships in the last few years have been
Engineers, making it difficult to identify H1B sponsorship opportunities for business
profiles.
With this in mind, we examined the US Department of Labor Data looking for
sponsors of business profiles, such as MBAs and other related Masters. We are
happy to publish our third H1B report: 2022 H1B Sponsorship Report

4. About the H1B
What is the H1B and why is it so important?
❖ The H1B is the primary work permit for international
talents to start working and living in the United States.
It follows a lottery system that attributes a maximum of
85,000 new visas to sponsored applicants each year in
April.
❖ As the responsibility of submitting the application for an
H1B falls on the employer, it is very helpful to know which
employers have sponsored H1B candidates in the past, as
these employers are more likely to sponsor again in the
future, thereby increasing your likelyhood of getting a visa.

you’re looking for. Moreover, for each

❖ While some job titles saw a slight
decrease in applications compared
to the previous year, overall, there
was quite an increase in most of the
top job titles.
❖ Analyst roles make up almost half of
the top job titles in 2022, and overall
show slight increase in applications
compared to 2021.
❖ The largest increases by far were for
Managers and Senior Associates,
which saw an increase of 81.9% and
75.9% respectively, compared to the
previous year.

more of a usual split between the
increases and decreases, 2022 has
seen increases across the board in
the top functional areas.
❖ While there was an increase in all
the top areas for 2022, in some
cases it was only by a small margin
of between 3% - 5% which is I the
range of regular yearly fluctuations.
❖ The largest increase in the top
functional areas for 2022 is for
Human Resources Specialists, which
went up 40.9%.
