3. WP5- Overall Description
Objectives
Execution of a strategic planning process aiming to the
development of plan for integration, internationalization and
expansion of INRAA. To carry out this purpose UNIPI will realize
an analysis of the current situation of INRAA in terms of specific
needs for research, training and mobility/networking and
available capacities in FAW field.
Through the SWOT analysis UNIPI would identify strengths,
weakness, opportunities and threats of INRAA, establishing the
basis to promote the competitiveness of INRAA in the field of
FAW and to face the needs of regional markets as well as the
challenges of national and international activities.

6. Task 5.1 - Analysis INRAA specific needs for

Objectives
Performing an analysis of the current situation of the research
policy and the research needs and offers of INRAA. The
cooperation and the collaboration activities with other national and
EU/Mediterranean research centers and the interaction with other
relevant actors of the water and food sector will be assessed. The
information will be collected by means of interviews.
The interviews will take place at INRAA and will be conducted by
experts of CENTA to INRAA key-personnel (PI’s, project managers
etc.) to collect the following information:
- INRAA research specific needs:
- Support of the public administration and policy makers.
- INRAA research and innovation strategy.
- Overall analysis of INRAA’s research strengths and weaknesses to
be improved,
7. Task 5.2 – SWOT analysis

Objectives
Analysis of INRAA’ s strategic environment is referred to as SWOT
analysis.
Starting from the existing national and international relations
FAWIRA partners will enhance the INRAA opportunities for
cooperation at regional, national and international levels and will
develop the possibility and opportunity to access to public and
international funds to finance research activities and technological
development in Algeria.
Using SWOT analysis, UNIPI will analyse and verify INRAA needs in
terms of human resource and technological capacities for the
management and evaluation of research activities and
technological potential in food-tech and water field.
8. Task 5.3 – Development of business plan for
integration, internationalization and expansion

Objectives
Inthis task a detailed analysis of strategic business plan will be
carried out by UNIPI. The business plan will be carried out the
mission and vision of INRAA, the objectives, the resources it needs
and growth prospects.
Making a business plan is crucial for accelerating the
development/growth, managing the complexity of the activity,
verifying the project feasibility, planning action, planning modality
and timing to the realization of the different project phases, looking
for financing and collaborators.
Through the business plan it will present INRAA activities, the
potential and the ability to the various stakeholders. Therefore the
business plan represents a valuable tool for research funding, for
the internationalization and expansion of INRAA.
