3. Research
• The strengths of my research where that I knew what kind of game I
wanted to do so I researched that genre which gave me a wide range of
ideas in order to create mine.
• My research helped my product by making it secure to that particular
genre I wanted to do.
• Weaknesses of my research are that I just end up copying the ideas I get I
copy which is why I don’t like to do too much research.
• To improve my product I could have looked at other genre's the effect this
would have had on my product would be maybe a mixed genre with racing
and other things like mini games other than just racing for example.
4. Planning
• The strengths of planning where just jotting down loads and loads of ideas
and then from those picking out the one with the most ideas and generate
more which for me is a good thing to do to get and idea of what to do and
what I am going to ben making/creating.
• My planning has helped my idea by giving me and idea of what it is I will
be doing/creating.
• Weaknesses of planning are not doing enough so not getting enough
ideas. And not been able to fill a page.
• To have improved this I could of spent more time on this, this would have
had the effect on my product of making it better.

5. Time Management
• I think for this I have managed time exceeding well I have completed on
deadlines and some before in order to give me more time making my
product.
• I don’t think I needed any more time to do this but I'm sure if I knew I had
more time I could of spent more time on all my PowerPoints in order to
make them better.
6. Target Audience Appeal
• My final product appeals to my target audience because I said I wanted
my product to appeal to children mostly male children.
• This defiantly appeals to children because there is block colour and its
cartoony but realistic its nothings in to much detail because children are
not bothered about detail.
• For example I have grass in my game screenshot that is just pure green no
shading and no lines but they will know its grass because its green.
7. Technical Qualities
I think my game is similar to Mario Kart, I think this
because Mario Kart has a little map on the eight hand side
in the bottom corner with the characters cars face on the
map to show where the player is going and how near they
are to other players, However mine has a map similar with
colored dots on to show players where they are going and
how near they are to other players.
Mario Kart also has trees as does mine.
The differences of my game
compared to Mario Kart are
they have an audience watching
at the sides and the front mine
doesn’t, the cars also move left
and right where as mine just
moves forward.
8. Technical Qualities
The similarities of my logo and Mario
Karts logo because they have used the
racing flag but in a different place.
The differences of these logos are
Mario Karts logo uses colours for the
wording and also it has no background
colour.
My logo only uses black colour font
and a background colour
9. Technical Qualities
Mario Karts car designs are
different to mine because all
the cars are a different designs
but they do have a range of
colours which is a similarity to
mine although mine are the
same Mario karts is still similar
because it uses a different
range of colours.
10. Aesthetic Qualities
I think my game
looks good as it
appeals to my target
audience.
The aspects of my
game that I like are
that its all simple
and straight forward
I like the app logo
with the racing flag
on, I also really like
the little map in the
right hand corner, if I
was to improve this I
would maybe add a
speed dial to show
how fast the car is
going.
The strengths I have had
with this are been able to
use Photoshop and to be
able to keep the theme
within my logo and my
game screenshot. Getting
the cars to move was fairly
easy.
The weaknesses I have
had with this are
designing the cars it
wasn't easy.
11. Audience Appeal
I think with all of these, my animated
screenshot, Logo and character
design all appeals very much to my
target audience which is children.
Children like bright colours and
simple designs there not
bothered about detail there
children.
My cars are simple and bright
coloured.
My animated screenshot
appeals very well to my target
audience of children because
its simple not detailed, the
trees are simple and all in a
row instead of looking
realistic.
There's a little map in the
right hand corner to show the
player (child) where to go and
where the other players are
on the map with coloured
dots of the players car
children will easily understand
this.
My app logo also
appeals to my
target audience
(children) you can
see this because
its simple it has a
racing flag which
they will
recognize to show
them it’s a racing
game
