2. Why?
In Portugal I was interested in this kind of issues making part of a
cycling NGO in Lisbon
In Donetsk there are no major bike facilities and public transport is
crowded, hence it seems there is potential
What?
This association will have the the goal of engage the civil society, and
have a horizontal structure
The main goal is to contribute to a criation of a long term sustainable
plataform for urban cycling
Future projects will be based on the best international practices,
adapted to the local context

3. What?
Everybody can help and be important regardless of age, sex, skills
etc.
To those who have interest in more active participation issues or
who want to know more about bicycling in cities, they can also
make part of specific work groups more linked to their field
Example:
Communication (journalists, designers, teachers etc)
Community (everyone)
Policy (lawers , jurists, politicians)
Planning & Infra-structure (architects, enginners etc)

Calendar:
March/April
• Define a written manifest of goals, aims and objectives for this NGO
• Criation of a list of contacts (name, age,sex, profession, skills) that can be
helpfull for the projects of NGO
• Contact with other NGO´s in Ukraine (ex: Kyiv Cyclists’ Association
(Asotsiatsia velosypedystiv Kiyeva – “AVK”), or in Europe for gathering
“know how”
• Define priority projects
May/June/July
• Launch of the new/renew website and project(s)
• Press release
• Conference about Cycling in Donetsk with local and international experts
in association with Donetsk council
