CONCEPT & INTRODUCTION OF
NIESBUD
 NIESBUD : Its stand for national institute for
entrepreneurship and small business development.
 It is an apex body established in 1983 by the ministry
of Industries, Government of India.
 Its mission is to promote , support & sustain
entrepreneurship & small businesses through,
education research , consultancy, and other
interventions throughout the globe.
 HEADQUARTER : Noida Gautam Buddha Nagar Uttar
Pradesh India.
ACTIVITIES OF NIESBUD
i. Training for trainers/promoters.
ii. Supporting (EDPs) entrepreneurship
development program.
iii. Small business focus.
iv. Developing entrepreneurial culture.
v. Services to affiliate members.
BASIC OBJECTIVES OF NIESBUD
 To standardize and systemize : the processes of selection,
training, support and sustenance of potential and existing
entrepreneurs.
 To support and motivate : institutions/organizations in
carrying out training and other entrepreneurship
development related activities.
 To provide vital information and support to trainers,
promoters and entrepreneurs : by organizing research and
documentation activities relevant to entrepreneurship and
skill development.
 To create a holistic environment to train the trainers,
promoters and consultants : in diverse areas of
entrepreneurship and skill development.
CONTINUED , BASIC OBJECTIVES OF
NIESBUD
 To provide national/international forums for interaction and
exchange of ideas : helpful for policy formulation and its
refinement at various levels.
 To offer consultancy & share experience and expertise
: in entrepreneurship development across national frontiers
to create awareness on it at national level for promotion of
entrepreneurship & small business development.
 To interchange international experience and expertise
: in the field of entrepreneurship development for mapping &
modification its development at international levels too.
FUNCTIONS OF NIESBUD
To organise and conduct training program for
small businesses development.
To assist the potential entrepreneurs who are
identified and trained.
To hold examinations and test and offer
certificates & diplomas on trainers as well as
trainees.
To identify potential entrepreneurs from
among technical & non-technical personnel.

Organise all those activities that help in
entrepreneurial culture in the society.
To conduct work shops ,seminars and
conferences etc. for promotion and
development of entrepreneurship in small
scale industries.
