To whom it my concern:
Amber Rusbashan has worked in the Registrar’s Office at Washington State University 20
hours a week, under my supervision since December 2014 while being a full time student.
She is very reliable and is committed to be at work during her scheduled work time.
Amber’s responsibilities include answering phones and working the front counter to assist
students, staff and faculty with registration and enrollment related issues. This includes
providing support with navigation and providing assistance in using the tools in the student
information system. At times, they are upset and she is sensible and calmly handles the
stress of this.
One of Amber’s key strengths is her professionalism. Many times, those that we serve
come to us with complicated problems that demand a high touch. At times, they are upset
and Amber has the ability to calm them down with her kindness, compassion, and sincere
desire to help. Especially during times of stress, such as when students are trying to
resolve enrollment issues that are causing financial aid problems. Amber is genuinely
interested in helping others, including diverse populations, and provides outstanding
service in a positive and helpful manner.
Based on my experience, I believe that Amber has potential and I feel confident that she
would be an asset to your leadership group. Please feel free to contact me if you need
further information at 509-335-5680 or by email at dhash@wsu.edu.
