- VoiceThread is a powerful new way to talk about and share images, documents, and videos. It’s a great opportunity and alternative for students to critique their art work and others.
- After opening an account, upload images from your computer, media sources, or URL. Media sources include flickr.com, facebook.com, or the New York Public Library.
- Here I uploaded images of student art work from an existing flickr account.
- Here’s another voicethread I created of portraits by Vincent Van Gogh. These images were found on the internet, then saved on my computer before I uploaded them.
- Add an identity for yourself and eventually each student. Click on the down arrow next to your login/email address appears. You will be given a symbol or you can upload a photo or a personal image.
- Type or record with a microphone or call in comments. Save each comment.
- Make the thread public to post or email links.
- Get a link, copy the link, and allow anyone to view and/or make comments. Also, add contacts and send invites.
