7. Sales Invoice
A Sales Invoice is a bill that you send to your customers, against which the cu
stomer processes the payment. Sales Invoice is an accounting transaction.
On submission of Sales Invoice, the system updates the receivable and books
income against a Customer Account.
You can create a Sales Invoice directly from
Accounts > Billing > Sales Invoice > New Sales Invoice
or you can Make a new Sales Invoice after you submit the Delivery Note.

9. Purchase Invoice
Purchase Invoice is the exact opposite of your Sales Invoice. It is
the bill that your Supplier sends you for products or services deliv
ered. Here you accrue expenses to your Supplier. Making a Purc
hase Invoice is very similar to making a Purchase Order.
To make a new Purchase Invoice:
type "new purchase invoice" into the search bar then select "New
Purchase Invoice“ from the drop down
10. or click on “Make Purchase Invoice” in Purchase Order or Purchase Receipt.
You can also create a Purchase Invoice from:
Accounts > Billing > Purchase Invoice > New Purchase Invoice

12. Journal Entry
All types of accounting entries other than Sales Invoice a
nd Purchase Invoice are made using the Journal Entry.
A Journal Entry is a standard accounting transaction that
affects multiple Accounts and the sum of debits is equal to
the sum of credits.
13. To create a Journal Entry go to:
Accounts > Company and Accounts > Journal Entry > New

In a Journal Entry, you must select.
•Type of Voucher from the drop down.
•Add rows for the individual accounting entries. In ea
ch row, you must specify:
o The Account that will be affected
o The amount to Debit or Credit
o The Cost Center (if it is an Income or
Expense)
o Against Voucher: Link it to a voucher or
invoice if it affects the “outstanding” amount
of that invoice.
o Is Advance: Select “Yes” if you want to
make it selectable in an Invoice. Other
information in case it is a Bank Payment or
a bill.
