Why should we hire you?
 This question can be answered in different ways
depending on during which time of the interview
has it been asked:
1. Beginning of the interview
2. Middle of the interview
3. End of the interview
Beginning of the interview
 Although rare it does happen sometimes especially if the recruiters are tired and just
want to rush to finish their job or have a high number of candidates to interview.
Answering this question, one must keep in mind three things:
1. List of requirements the company has provided.
Here you have to give out how the research of the company and your skills
match with the given experience you have or expertise and passion in that field.
2. List how some of the projects you have done which are in correlation to the
work done at the company or share similarities.
3. List some of the simple benefits that people there receive and the prestige or how
it may help advance your career.

Middle of the interview
 Normally asked if you have
made a lot of mistakes to
some of the technical
questions but they still want
to give you a chance or
they have been asking
structured questions which
don’t leave space for one to
explain themselves.
Why should we hire you?
1. You are not special.
 There are plenty of candidates waiting and more outstanding
so why should their company take you. Being honest is
sometimes a weakness but the fact to acknowledge your
weaknesses and step on to view a larger platform is a great
quality.
2. Passion/ Hunger to lean.
 Here you can showcase your passion to continuously grow
and learn from everyone in company regardless of position.
3. Show them the qualities of how you are coachable, a go
getter, set targets and strive to achieve them.
End of the interview
 Mostly after you have done the interview and they are convinced of your skills
now they want to give the platform to you for you to impress them and set
yourself apart from other candidates. Three ways to answer this can be
summarized as T.I.P :
Time - Usually you have a limited time frame to express yourself so it's
better to structure your offense and begin with the more important reasons and how
long you have devoted yourself to this job, aspired it or fulfilling a lifelong wish.
Impact - This is your last chance to make an impact and leave them
with a favorite opinion about yourself. Ask questions and show how involved you
are in the field.
Personal qualities – Depending on the job specific
qualities it requires give some examples of similar stuff you have done eg for a sales
job you can give building relationships, networking and problem-solving examples
you have done on previous jobs or in college or even at home in family business.
Why should we hire you?
Like all things in life nothing is
fixed so sometimes depending
on the character, tone,
direction, position and
environment you have to
change and adapt to reply not
always with correct answers but
with honesty.
