2. William Wallace (1272-1305)
William Wallace was a Scottish outlaw and
hero who fought the English to gain Scottish
independence. He and his small army famously
defeated the English army at the Battle of
Stirling Bridge.
Mary, Queen of Scots (1542- 1587)
Mary Stuart was Queen of Scotland about 430
years ago.She became queen when she was
less than a year old. She married three times
and was eventually accused of plotting to kill
queen Elizabeth I of England. She was
executed in 1587 at hte age of 45.

was a Scottish engineer and inventor of the world's
first television, and also the world's first fully

4. Robert Burns (25 January 1759 – 21 July 1796) was a
Scottish poet and a lyricist. He is widely regarded as
the national poet of Scotland, and is celebrated
worldwide. His poem (and song) Auld Lang Syne is
often sung at Hogmanay (the last day of the year),
and Scots Wha Hae served for a long time as an
unofficial national anthem of the country.
Robert Louis Stevenson (13 November 1850 – 3
December 1894) was a Scottish novelist, poet, essayist
and travel writer. His best-known books include
Treasure Island, Kidnapped, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
5. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (22 May 1859 – 7 July 1930[1])
was a Scottish physician and writer, most noted for his
stories about the detective Sherlock Holmes, generally
considered a milestone in the field of crime fiction

7. The Loch Ness Monster
Loch Ness is a very deep lake in the north of
Scotland. Some people believe that they have
seen a large dinosaur-like “monster” in Loch
Ness. For this reason, Loch Ness is one of
Scotland’s top tourist attractions.
