2. Your Life
“What do you want your life to be like in ten
years’ time?”
When asked this question, many of us will think
about seeing our wishes accomplished and our
lives transformed.
Yet, for some, this all too soon ends up in the
‘too hard’ basket and we continue living our
current lives because that glimpse we had is all
but a dream.
It is a dream that is out of our reach, out of our
control. We do not perceive we have the luxury
of such a choice.

3. Your Choice
I believe that we can look at things or
circumstances in life in so many different ways,
and that it is our choice as to how we wish to
look at them and also, therefore, what we
choose to do about them.
Deciding that you have no choice is a personal
decision that you make, in that it is you who
decides to position yourself as declining to
have a choice.

4. Your Impact
There is no right or wrong when it comes to
choosing or not choosing.
The key point is about the impact that your
choice generates and whether or not you take
responsibility for creating that impact.

5. Your Creation
You are the key component in your life; without
you in it, your life does not exist.
If you take an objective look at your life today,
that life is nothing more than your own creation
based on what you chose to do (or not do)
yesterday, and on any other day prior to
yesterday.
It is also something you created yourself based
on how you chose to respond or not respond to
the situations that you encountered.

6. Your Want
Nevertheless, what matters is not determining
whether what you did was right or wrong, but
whether it has created the life that you wanted
and whether that life makes you feel fulfilled.
It may well be that life was fulfilling for a time,
but does it still remain so now?

7. Your Choice
If the life you see yourself wanting in ten years’
time is different from the one you are living
now, then you have the choice of either
beginning to create it from today or keeping the
life you have, even though this may not be the
life you want.
The choice is yours.
If you choose to create the life that you wish to
have in ten years’ time but feel it is impossible
to achieve, then change the way you look at it.

8. Your Life
Ten years is made up of around 3,650 days.
That is plenty of time.
What can you do today that will naturally lead
your tomorrow to turn in the direction of the life
you want?
What can you do tomorrow that will
automatically lead you to be one step closer to
that glimpse you saw when I initially asked,
“What do you want your life to be like in ten
years’ time?”
