4. Generally, we use notice board for any information by
using paper, marker etc in Institutes, collages, companies,
offices.
This system is based on GSM modem. Colleges/Institutes
can display notice SMS on three LCDs using GSM
modem .
Through Controller, anyone can display SMS at LCD
notice board. It has three LCD based notice board. This
system is controlled by microcontroller, using GSM
modem.

6. The aim of the project is provide automatically SMS
based notice board. The motivation is to facilitate the
users to display notice without using paper, white
board etc. The system provides availability due to
development of a low cost system.
The system is using SMS through mobile for
displaying notice very easily.
Through SMS device, GSM modem and the
microcontroller, we are aiming for successful
completion of this project.

12. This is a SMS based system, one can display on three LCD display
with the help of GSM modem. In this project firstly place the SIM
card in GSM Modem, a SMS is made to the mobile which is
communicating with the microcontroller serially, the microcontroller
will receive the SMS automatically then the microcontroller display
our SMS on three LCD’s.
The user types that SMS and send it, then GSM receive that SMS and
sends it to microcontroller. After that, microcontroller can display it
on LCD of notice board.

14. RLMT Connector:-- It is a connector used to connect the step down transformer to the
bridge rectifier.
Bridge Rectifier:---- It is a full wave rectifier used to convert ac into dc , 9-15v ac made
by transformer is converted into dc with the help of rectifier.
Capacitors:
Capacitor1:----- It is an electrolytic capacitor of rating 1000M/35V used to remove the
ripples. Capacitor is the component used to pass the ac and block the dc.
Capacitor 2:----- It is again an electrolytic capacitor 10M/65v used for filtering to give
pure dc.
Capacitor 3:----- It is an ceramic capacitor used to remove the spikes generated when
frequency is high(spikes).
Regulator:----- LM7805 is used to give a fixed 5v regulated supply.
So the output of supply section is 5v regulated dc.
15. +5v supply: This +5v supply is required for the controller to get
start which is provided from the power supply section.
Crystal Oscillator: A crystal oscillator of 12 MHz is connected at
pin no.19,x1 and pin no.18,x2 to generate the frequency for the
controller. The crystal oscillator works on piezoelectric effect.
The clock generated is used to determine the processing speed of
the controller.
Two capacitors of 20 pf – 40 pf are also connected to stabilize the
clock generated with one end to the oscillator while the other end
is connected with the ground.
Reset section: It consists of an RC network consisting of 10M/35V
capacitor and one resistance of 1k. This section is used to reset the
controller connected at pin no.9 of AT89c51.
18. This “SMS based notice board” overcomes the
drawbacks of earlier notice board system. We are able
to implement successfully our mission which is to
develop a notice board system that enables us to
provide the solution of the problems faced by wastage
of paper, marker, etc.
The developing of this project has been a learning
experience for all team members and would prove as a
milestone in their academic career.
