• I was born in Jackson, MS
• I graduated from the University of Southern
Mississippi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and
Dietetics
• I am currently pursing my Master’s of Arts in Teaching
from Belhaven University
• This will be my 1st year to teach 9th grade
• In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my
family and friends and running.

Come in and unpack quietly
Take out the previous night’s homework
Copy all homework into planner
Begin bellwork assignment

7. Classroom Rules
Respect yourself, others, and me.
Enter the room quietly once the bell rings.
Students must work when assignments are given.
Please wait to pack up at the end of class. I will let
you know when it is time.
Eating, drinking, and chewing gum are NOT allowed in
class. Water is fine!
Come to class prepared. Bring all materials everyday!
Talking when the teacher or another student is
talking is not permitted.
10. Attendance
o PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE PRESENT AND ON TIME EACH DAY!
o Arrival = First bell 8:20am, Tardy bell 8:25am
o Excused Absences : illness, doctor’s appointment, or serious
illness/death of a family member
*Students must go to the teacher and request make-up work immediately
upon their return. The number of days absent plus one will be allowed for
completion of assignments
o Unexcused Absences: the student misses school and the absence does
not qualify as excused.
*The student will receive no credit (0’s) for all class work missed. 5 or
more unexcused absences will result in a parent teacher conference!
