Socialization.
Induction – Is the process used within many businesses to welcome new
employees to the company and prepare them for their new role.
Socialization – Process of learning throughout the life course and is a
central influence on the behaviour , beliefs , and actions of adults as well
as of children.

4. TYPES OF INDUCTION
FORMAL & INFORMAL INDUCTION
FORMAL:-It has a structured programme
-welcome new employee , relieves his/her anxieties
INFORMAL:-It is an unplanned induction programme
-Here employees are directly put on the job
5. PROBLEMS OF INDUCTION
Too much information
Overloaded with paperwork
Supervisor is not trained enough
6. STAGES OF SOCIALIZATION
PRE ARRIVAL STAGE: Individuals arrive to organization with a set of
values , attitudes and expectations
ENCOUNTER STAGE: This is where individual see that there is big
difference between their expectations and reality
METAMORPHOSIS STAGE: Here employees understand , rules , way of
promotion also commitment and productivity is seen
7. CONCLUSION
Induction and Socialization are crucial processes for interacting new employees
into an organization . Induction involves introducing them to the job or
workplace while Socialization focuses on building connections .
