2. Ownership
Celador films was taken over by a company called
Complete Communications, this change in ownership has
opened multiple chances for change. But after a few
‘problems’ they are now a independent film company again.
2004 Celador took legal action against, Disney for
unpaid profits from Disney’s screening of the
programme Who Wants To Be A Millionaire in the
US. In June 2010 they awarded Celador $269m
(£177m)

3. Operating Model
As Celador film is a small production company and is being held
by a holding company, which is the parent company called
Celador this company may of helped fund The Descent, or re
invested from a previous movie. Celador would’ve had to get
money from either bank loans, private investments or film
funding bodies because by splitting the costs with Pathe it means
they risk losing a lot less money if the film failed. The crew
Celador used would’ve been freelance because they are on a tight
budget, and aren’t a massive company so don’t have an in house
crew, so by employing a freelance crew it means they save on
costs and can work on many projects at once.
