and equipment maintenance, transportation, recruiting/retention, and inspections. Coordinated unit
preparation for official inspections and command staff visits. Identified, planned, and established
priorities, assigned, distributed, and monitored work of subordinate sections and personnel.
PERSONNEL RECORDS MANAGEMENT: Managed and coordinated the work efforts two staff members
managing personnel, finance, and automated systems activities, including reenlistments, separations,
transfers, job change request, security clearances, and disciplinary actions to support all attached
military personnel. Utilized Standard Installation/Division Personnel System, managed the Brigade supply
program, conducted inventories, and initiated supply requisitions as necessary.
PERSONNEL ADVISOR: Reviewed and analyzed incoming directives, policies, and instructions from
higher headquarters. Advised Commander on those affecting administrative functions, and developed
and recommended appropriate action to efficiently implement changes. Maintained liaison with higher
headquarters speaking on behalf of Commander in clarifying administrative matters, explaining views, or
explaining implications of pending problems and programs involving the Brigade.
TRAINING INITIATIVES: Coordinated administration of unit and individual training, interpreted training

SCOPE OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
As a Rifle Squad Leader in a Light Infantry Company; this Soldier was responsible for the welfare, fitness,
morale and discipline of nine Soldiers; responsible for the individual training and maintenance of their
equipment; primary instructor and advisor in the matters of tactics, personnel management and junior
leader development; directs his Squad's tactical employment during offensive and defensive operations;
responsible for the accountability and maintenance of all assigned MTO&E equipment worth in excess of
750,000 dollars.
PERSONNEL ADVISOR:
This Soldier is a fighting leader who leads by example. He has authority over his subordinates and overall
responsibility for their actions. Under the fluid conditions of close combat, the team leader must
accomplish assigned missions using initiative without needing constant guidance from above. His
position on the battlefield requires immediacy and accuracy in all his actions. Responsible for all his team
does or fails to do, the care of his men, weapons, and equipment. He is the subject matter expert on all
the team's weapons and battle drills. Leads his team in fire and maneuver and assists the squad leader as
required. He is prepared to assume the duties of the squad leader at any time.
TRAINING INITIATIVES:
Responsible for the health, welfare, discipline, and safety of over 1,000 Officers in training on Anti-Armor
weapon systems to include the Javelin, MK19, M2 50 Caliber Machine Gun, and Anti-Armor tactics;
accounts for all weapons and related training equipment in excess of $500,000; conducts over 20 hours of
instruction per week to the Infantry Pre-Command Course (IPCC), Infantry Officer Basic Course.

SCOPE OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Ensures success of battalion operations by providing supervision, counseling, training, and mentor-ship
to S3 junior enlisted; forecasts, inventories, and manages over 7 million dollars in ammunition for

education to S3 officers, junior enlisted, and peers in areas of emphasis ranging from ammunition,

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: Accountable for evaluating personnel qualifications for all special assignments, preparing and processing requests for transfers or reassignment, process centralized and decentralized promotions and reduction actions, classification and reclassification actions, orders and request for orders, and maintain officer and enlisted personnel records. Monitor requests for promotions and arrange for promotion ceremonies, to include promotion declinations, reconsideration for promotions, and arrange for reduction and removal boards for soldiers on local promotion standing lists. Oversee all requests for reductions, transfers, and discharges, requests for identification cards and tags, leaves, and passes, line of duty determination, military personnel data and information management, orders for temporary duty and travel, personnel processing, personnel Security Clearances, training and reassignment, retention, military and special pay programs, personnel accounting and strength management, transition processing, legal, meal cards, training soldier support file, and unit administration. Review personnel casualty documents, monitor suspense actions, and processes personnel evaluations. Process applications for Office Candidate Schools, warrant officer flight training, and other training, recommendations for awards and decorations, bars to reenlistment, suspension of favorable personnel actions, and initiate actions for passports and visas. ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT: Prepare and maintain functional files in the Modern Army Record- Keeping System preparing reports on strength levels and status of personnel. Type correspondence and forms in draft and final copy and post changes to Army regulations and other publications as needed. SUPPLY MANAGEMENT: Accountable for the requisition and maintenance of office supplies, blank forms, and publications. PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Voluntarily took responsibility for, and managed the Battery Safety Program. Administrative Sergeant 07/2000 – 01/2002 HHB 69th Air Defense Artillery Brigade 40+ hours per week APO AE (Korea) SCOPE OF ACCOUNTABILITY: Served as the Principal Administrative Sergeant to the Air Defense Artillery Brigade consisting of two Patriot Battalions totaling over 1,500 soldiers. Managed the diverse day-to-day administrative functions, including coordinating individual and unit training, supply, facility and equipment maintenance, transportation, recruiting/retention, and inspections. Coordinated unit preparation for official inspections and command staff visits. Identified, planned, and established priorities, assigned, distributed, and monitored work of subordinate sections and personnel. PERSONNEL RECORDS MANAGEMENT: Managed and coordinated the work efforts two staff members managing personnel, finance, and automated systems activities, including reenlistments, separations, transfers, job change request, security clearances, and disciplinary actions to support all attached military personnel. Utilized Standard Installation/Division Personnel System, managed the Brigade supply program, conducted inventories, and initiated supply requisitions as necessary. PERSONNEL ADVISOR: Reviewed and analyzed incoming directives, policies, and instructions from higher headquarters. Advised Commander on those affecting administrative functions, and developed and recommended appropriate action to efficiently implement changes. Maintained liaison with higher headquarters speaking on behalf of Commander in clarifying administrative matters, explaining views, or explaining implications of pending problems and programs involving the Brigade. TRAINING INITIATIVES: Coordinated administration of unit and individual training, interpreted training directives and guidance, and recommended any changes deemed necessary. Scheduled, planned, counseled, and advised unit personnel on training opportunities and course availability and conducted on-the-job training for administrative and supply personnel.

Squad Leader 11BQB Squad Leader 1/24 Inf BN 07/1997-6/2000 Fort Lewis, WA 40+ hours per week SCOPE OF ACCOUNTABILITY: As a Rifle Squad Leader in a Light Infantry Company; this Soldier was responsible for the welfare, fitness, morale and discipline of nine Soldiers; responsible for the individual training and maintenance of their equipment; primary instructor and advisor in the matters of tactics, personnel management and junior leader development; directs his Squad's tactical employment during offensive and defensive operations; responsible for the accountability and maintenance of all assigned MTO&E equipment worth in excess of 750,000 dollars. PERSONNEL ADVISOR: This Soldier is a fighting leader who leads by example. He has authority over his subordinates and overall responsibility for their actions. Under the fluid conditions of close combat, the team leader must accomplish assigned missions using initiative without needing constant guidance from above. His position on the battlefield requires immediacy and accuracy in all his actions. Responsible for all his team does or fails to do, the care of his men, weapons, and equipment. He is the subject matter expert on all the team's weapons and battle drills. Leads his team in fire and maneuver and assists the squad leader as required. He is prepared to assume the duties of the squad leader at any time. TRAINING INITIATIVES: Responsible for the health, welfare, discipline, and safety of over 1,000 Officers in training on Anti-Armor weapon systems to include the Javelin, MK19, M2 50 Caliber Machine Gun, and Anti-Armor tactics; accounts for all weapons and related training equipment in excess of $500,000; conducts over 20 hours of instruction per week to the Infantry Pre-Command Course (IPCC), Infantry Officer Basic Course. HHC 1/24 Inf BN, S3 Fort Lewis, WA 40+ hours per week SCOPE OF ACCOUNTABILITY: Ensures success of battalion operations by providing supervision, counseling, training, and mentor-ship to S3 junior enlisted; forecasts, inventories, and manages over 7 million dollars in ammunition for battalion size and lower training missions, force protection, and additional details; provides training and education to S3 officers, junior enlisted, and peers in areas of emphasis ranging from ammunition, infantry tactics, and TOC responsibilities. PERSONNEL ADVISOR: Assistant Operations Sergeant Serves as an Assistant Operations Sergeant assigned to an Infantry Battalion of a Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT); responsible for the health, welfare, morale, training, and development of 20 Soldiers and their families; conducts operations and training on counterinsurgency and full spectrum operations; assists the Operations Sergeant Major in the planning, preparation, and execution of combat training missions; enforces tactical and Soldier discipline; responsible for the accountability, readiness, and employment of two Stryker Command Variants with assigned weapons and equipment valued in excess of $4,000,000. TRAINING INITIATIVES: Operations NCO Serves as a the S-3 NCOIC in a Special Troops Battalion with an assigned strength of 658 Soldiers, 270 Department of the Army Civilians, and 179 Local National Employees; facilitates Military Decision Making Processes (MDMPs) for the command group and nine command directorates; writes and executes the equitable distribution of Operation Orders, Fragmentary Orders, and Warning Orders; coordinates and synchronizes logistical and administrative support among local agencies and authorities to facilitate doctrinally sound, realistic, and efficient training; manages and professionally develops four SGMs. Develops and maintains all training records; monitors, schedules, and prepares training; assists Soldiers in personnel actions and schedules service school attendance; plans and executes unit mobilization plans; attends schools and conferences as required; operates DTMS and other training systems; maintains positive control of over $80,000 worth of equipment; responsible for coaching, teaching, mentoring and overall health and welfare of 3 US Soldiers and 1 Korean Augmentation to the US Army Soldier.
