I had the pleasure to sit on a panel at the Alzheimers Disease Research Summit in Session VI: Enabling Partnerships for Open Innovation: http://www.nia.nih.gov/about/events/2014/alzheimers-disease-research-summit-2015 . I had the opportunity to highlight some of the work RSC has done in terms of supporting (Open) Drug Discovery and working with Open PHACTS, PharmaSea and Open Source Drug Discovery.

Advancing Drug Discovery Through Open Science Open Collaboration Open Data Licensing Computer Modeling Open Models and Feedback Web and API Access Pharma share precompetitive data/experience How much data is lost or discarded? What is the quality of the metadata? How much data cannot be annotated? Is open data licensing clear yet? If more data were open… If data could be validated… If models could be made open… If funding agencies required openness… Could we advance Alzheimer’s Research?
