3. Holiday Method:
• For first 10 kg :
Every 1 kg requires 100kcals
So, 10 * 100 = 1000
Hence,
First 10kg Weight requires 1000kcals
• For second 10 kg :
Every 1 kg requires 50kcals
So, 10*50 = 500
Hence,
Second 10kg Weight requires 500kcals

4. Conti
• For third 10kg and for further :
Every 1 kg requires 20 kcals
So,
10*20=200kcals.
Hence :
Third and further 10kg requires 200 kcals

• If a child have height 88 cm and having weight 18kg .
How Many calories should he/she consume
?

6. Feeding patterns :
• From birth to 1 month :
Feedings intervals : 8 to 12
Feeding frequency : 150 ml
Feeds : Just give mother milk or formula milk in
Disease conditions related to breast milk.
• From 1month to 3 month :
Feeding intervals : 6 to 8
Feeding Frequency : 150 to 400 ml
Feeds : breastfeeding or formula feeding

Feeding intervals : 6 to 8
Feeding frequency : 400ml
Feeds : breastfeeding along with weaning Start after 5
month.
• From 6-12 months :
Feeding intervals : 4
Feeding Frequency : 350-400ml
Feeds : breastfeeding along with complimentary foods.
• 12-24 months :
Gives cow milk, breast milk, All six food groups

baby:
Fruits:
• Apples , avacado , banana , pears , Peaches, plums ,
prunes.
Grains and cereals :
• Rice , barley , ragi, quinoa.
Vegetables :
• Carrots , pumpkin, sweet potatoes.
Dairy products :
• Ghee , butter ( but in moderation).

9. Food groups given to one year
child
• Fruits:
• banana ,pear, blue berries ,apricots, avocado, papaya, mangoes,Plums,
peach, Pineapple, Peach, grapes and kiwi fruit
• Vegetables:
• All can given
• Grains and cereals:
• White Rice, brown rice, oats, barley, Ray, quinoa, wheat ,
• Dairy products:
• Milk, cheese, Yogurt and butter
• Pulses/lentil:
• yellow mong daal.

10. Avoid mother milk :
• Galactocemia
• Lactose intolerance
• Milk allergies

11. • If galactosemia patients is given milk ,
unmetabolized milk sugar build up and demage
liver, eyes , kidney and brain.
