puzzles and levels will be of a challenge. You

on who gets the best scores.

on another button to attack your enemies.
Otherwise it is pretty easy to navigate.

The Wolf man - A man that turns into a wolf
on the full moon. Has powers of a wolf. Was
kidnapped during a non-full moon.
The Witch - A master of spells and potions.
She has the ability to control everyone. Was
kidnapped when a potion of hers backfired
on her.

Hello and good afternoon. My name is David Pechon and my classmates Jerry Hoffman, Josh Ressler, and Ali Steins. We are presenting to you a proposal for a new game called Save Halloween.
Mobile devices have become serious contenders in the gaming industry as viable platforms to develop on. Millons of people worldwide have a tablet device, while millions more have smartphones. The new capabilites allow people to enjoy entertainment of all forms, including games on these devices. Mobile devices have become such a popular platform, many new games are now being started on mobile devices rather than traditional game consoles and personal computers.
Holiday themes in games are nothing new either. There are plenty out there with downloadable content based on the current holiday. Angry Birds, a very sucessful mobile based game, has plenty of different holiday themed add-ons such as their Seasons pack. Some MMOs such as World of Warcraft have in game content changed to reflect the current holiday season, however changing it slightly to match in-game canon.
We’re proposing the development of a new game for the upcoming Halloween season called “Save Halloween”. This game will be made available on all popular mobile platforms and on PC. One thing we want to be able to do with this game is allow you to pick up where you left off from your tablet to your smartphone. Most of all we want to attract gamers of all ages and skill levels. We want to make the game inviting enough for the casual gamer but challenging enough for a hardcore player to enhance bragging rights.
Thank you for your time. We are looking at using many platforms for this game. Many people use their laptops or desktops at work or at home to kill time and play games. This gives an opportunity to use the PC platform to launch the web-based game to the masses. By using a web-based platform users can continue where they left off in the game and have all their points and items saved for the next time they play the game. This leads us to the next platform to use, the tablet. With having the game web-based, we can develop an app for the tablet that will connect to the web server and the user can pick up where they left off at the office or home and play the game on the go. We will also be able to develop the app for smartphone usage, to give the player continuous access to the game. The more platforms that we make the game accessible from, the more players we can attract. The game will be easy to use and have a familiarity that the user will find comforting and allow them to play effortlessly without having to learn new rules for a game.
Development tools and resources for the game are basically the same used for all games. There are graphics, 3D accelerators and sound effect tools used in the development of every game. The original game will be written using the framework based on .NET for game development for Windows. XNA Game Studio 3.1 will be the software used to design the game on. This is just the basic platform design that will be used for each platform that we propose to develop for the game. For the 3D models in the game we will use Softimage Mod Tool. The Softimage Mod Tool will allow us to export our work into a XNA format so the compatibility issues will be held to a minimum. To allow us freedom with our soundtrack and effects for the game we will use a sound utility called FMOD. This software is compatible with all of our other developmental software and will allow us to have a very professional sound quality to our games.
In order to cut developmental costs we will use a new product on the market that will allow cross-platform gaming development. Game Builder Studios has developed a tool that will allow us to write the game codes one time and it will re-create the codes for each platform that we wish to use. This means we can write the game in .NET format, and this tool will re-create it for Mac, iOS and android operating systems. This saves us on having to rewrite the codes for each platform and saves us time getting the game to each platform. The users can now have the game on the PC, Tablet and Smart phone, at the time of purchase. This is a win-win for our development team and the end user. As you can see we have a great strategy going in from a platform and development team aspect.
Most importantly we want Save Halloween to be a fun experience for anyone to pickup and enjoy. We think its possible with a simplistic touch and swipe interface that a lot of mobile games have been using recently. The game’s premise is to save the monsters of halloween from the evil kidnappers. The characters in the game have their own unique abilities allowing players to challenge themselves but overall makes the experience very fun.The game will start off on web based platforms, then later on mobile devices. Similar to how Pop Cap games have developed their games.Using industry standard tools such as XNA game studio, Softimage, and FMOD, we can deploy to different platforms fairly easily, even if the game gets popular enough to end up on game consoles in the future.
