This document outlines procedures for emergency rescue and transfer of victims from dangerous to safe locations. It describes indications for emergency transfer such as fire, toxic gases, traffic hazards, structural collapse, drowning, or extreme weather. The objectives of first aid during transfer are to ensure an open airway, control bleeding, check for other injuries, immobilize injured parts, and arrange transportation while avoiding unnecessary disturbance. Various one-man, two-man, and group carries and drags are described to select the appropriate transfer method based on injury severity, victim size, rescuer capability, evacuation route, and distance.
