Come along to discover the latest talent in your engineering community at the 2015 Emerging
Engineers Award ICE G&S East Midlands Final.
The Emerging Engineers Award (EEA) promotes and rewards excellence in the communication of
civil engineering ideas and innovation, research and best practice on projects/design.
Papers submitted by ICE graduate and student members within the Region have been reviewed by
the Judging Panel. The top entries will contest for prizes, prestige and to be shortlisted for the EEA
Global Final at the ICE’s Headquarters in London.
Their presentations are followed by question and answer sessions when audience members are
encouraged to participate. There is also an opportunity to enjoy complimentary refreshments and
network with other engineering professionals.
Attending the EEA Regional Final gives you a great chance to:

§ Test the finalists’ knowledge
§ Add to your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) record
The 3 finalists presenting their papers this year are:
• Gerard Quigg – Successful Collaboration during Design and Construction; Fleetwood

• Dominik Fecher – Economic Viability of Alleviating Water Stress in the Thames Basin
Utilising Suspended Shade Material
• Arushan Mahendrakumar – The Selection of Earth Retaining Structures
