SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
PARTNERS
IN THE
PROMISE
Partners in the promise are companies and
organizations providing Susan G. Komen Greater
Cincinnati with unrestricted resources to support
the Komen mission through general corporate
contributions, multiple event sponsorships,
third party fundraising or in-kind donations at a
minimum of $500 annually.
OUR
PROMISE
Fulfilling the Promise
Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen,
she would do everything in her power to end breast
cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became reality
and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today,
Komen is the world’s largest grassroots network of
breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives.
Komen has funded more breast cancer research than any
other nonprofit (second only to the federal government)
dedicating billions to finding a cure.
Breast Cancer: Then & Now
Since 1982, Komen has fueled every major advance in the
fight against breast cancer, transforming how the world talks
about and treats this disease and helping to turn millions of
breast cancer patients into breast cancer survivors. We are
proud of our contribution to these victories:
Susan G. Komen Greater Cincinnati
Susan G. Komen Greater Cincinnati is the only organization
in Greater Cincinnati that exclusively addresses the fight
against breast cancer on all levels. We have one clear
Promise; To save lives and end breast cancer forever.
We save lives by funding programs throughout our 21 county
service area:
• Funding community grants for local breast cancer
programs that include screenings & treatments
• Financial assistance programs
• Public awareness and education about breast
cancer issues
• Support programs for women diagnosed with
breast cancer
• Funding research at the National AND Local level to
discover and deliver the cures
Community Grants
Through its 2014-2015 community grants, Komen Greater
Cincinnati invested $600,000 in education, diagnosis,
treatment and support programs here in Greater Cincinnati
provided by 11 local organizations that serve uninsured
or underinsured residents in our service area. Since it was
founded in 1997, Komen Greater Cincinnati has invested
more than $10.3 million in local breast health agencies and
organizations.
Our Work
