Palawan is an island province located in the MIMAROPA region of the Philippines. It is the largest province in the country in terms of total area. Palawan Island, measuring 450 km long and 50 km wide, is the province's largest island. The province lies between the South China Sea and the Sulu Sea and has a population of over 300,000 people.
3. • Mt. Apo is a large solfataric, potentially-active stratovolcano in the island
of Mindanao, Philippines. With an altitude of 2,954 metres (9,692 ft), it
is the highest mountain in the country and is located between Davao City
and Davao del Sur province in Region XI and Cotabato province in Region
XII. The peak overlooks Davao City 40 kilometres (25 mi) to the
northeast, Digos City 25 kilometres (16 mi) to the southeast, and
Kidapawan City 20 kilometres (12 mi) to the west.
Apo, which means "ancestor", is flat-topped mountain with three peaks
and is capped by a 500-metre-wide (1,600 ft) volcanic crater containing a
small crater lake. The date of its most recent eruption is unknown, and
none are verified in historical times.
The volcano is one of the most popular climbing destinations in the
Philippines with the summit, on the average, takes two days to reach.
The first recorded climb was on October 10, 1880, by a party led by
Joaquin Rajal, then Spanish governor of Davao.

capital of the Province of Ilocos Sur. The city is

Philippines, and is well known for its
cobblestone streets, and a unique architecture
that fuses Philippine and Oriental building
designs and construction, with colonial
European architecture.

part of Aklan Province, which became an independent
province on April 25, 1956.Sofia Gonzales Tirol and her
husband LambertoHontiveros Tirol, a town judge on
nearby Panay island, took ownership of substantial

coconuts, fruit trees, and greenery on the island.
Others followed the Tirols, and cultivation and
development of the island gradually spread from this
initial beginning.Tourism came to the island beginning in
about the 1970s.The movie Too Late the Hero was filmed
in 1970 on locations in Boracay and Caticlan.

11. Rizal Park, also known as Luneta Park or
colloquially Luneta, is a historical urban park
located in the heart of the city of
Manila, Philippines, adjacent to the old walled
city of Manila, now Intramuros. Since the Spanish
Colonial Era, the park has been a favorite spot for
unwinding, socializing, an urban oasis for family
picnics on Sundays and holidays. It is one of the
major tourist attractions of Manila.
Located along Manila Bay, Luneta has been the
site of some of the most significant moments in
Philippine history. The execution of pacifist Dr.
José Rizal on December 30, 1896, sparked the fire
of the Philippine Revolution against the Spanish
colonizers, elevating the martyr as the national
hero of the country.

city located in the province of Benguet in northern
Luzon island of the Philippines. The city has become

According to the 2007 census, Baguio City has a
population of 301,926.
Baguio City was established by Americans in 1900 at
the site of an Ibaloi village known as Kafagway. The
name of the city is derived from the word bagiw in
Ibaloi, the indigenous language of the Benguet
Region, meaning 'moss'.

Zambales, located along the northern coast of
Subic Bay in the Philippines. According to the

Subic is foreseen to be a component city of

Olongapo City. Like Iba,the provincial capital;

Philippines, consisting of Cebu Island and 167 surrounding
islands. It is located to the east of Negros, to the west of Leyte
and Bohol islands. Cebu is a long narrow island stretching 225
kilometers from north to south, surrounded by 167
neighbouring, smaller islands, which include Mactan, Bantayan,
Malapascua, Olango and the Camotes Islands. Cebu has narrow
coastlines, limestone plateaus and coastal plains. It also has
rolling hills and rugged mountain ranges traversing the northern
and southern lengths of the island. Cebu's highest mountains are
over 1000 meters high.
